EGE Haina has announced that final tests are being conducted to prepare Quisqueya II the country’s newest power plant for entry into operation. General manager Tito Sanjurjo said that the plant could operate with natural gas, diesel or bunker C fuel. He said it is an example of combined cycle technology with a high level of cost-efficiency. The new plant was built with an investment of US$270 million, according to EGE Haina.
