Mejia promises he will stay in power

President Mejia addressed hundreds of young people yesterday in an event organized by the Frente Juvenil de Atallah, as reported in Hoy newspaper. Heading the meeting was Alberto Atallah, the former superintendent of banks before being promoted to the post of Administrative Secretary of the Presidency after the banking scandal erupted.

During the event, Mejia promised to continue to work on behalf of Dominican youth. ?No one tires me. No one is going to tire me. I have decided to work hard and move ahead accompanied by the youths that are the hope of the country,? he said. According to Mejia, Dominicans need access to social programs in education, housing and health and ?we continue to be willing to continue applying this policy with the support of all of you.? He promised that in a new mandate, his government would work harder to train national talent and prepare the new generations to direct the country with honesty and hard work.
