Former President Juan Bosch was taken out of the intensive care unit of the Dr. Abel Gonzalez medical center yesterday. The 93-year old politician and writer will be sent home as soon as arrangements for his care are made. Bosch has been chronically ill for several years now, managing to survive several critical moments.

Contemporary Latin American music greats, Juan Luis Guerra and Jose Antonio Molina, will perform on Friday, 12 October at the White House for the presentation of “El Ultimo Adios,” an ode to those who died on 11 September in the US.
