Minister of Labor Milton Ray Guevara said unemployment continues at 13.9%, the same as last year. He confirmed there have been 10,951 jobs “suspended”. But he said that suspensions are not cancellations. A company has three months time to restore the worker to his job or make severance payments.

The President prefers that exporters of so-called traditional exports no longer have to exchange their dollars with the Central Bank. Only traditional exports have this requirement.
