Renowned author passes away

77-year old Virgilio Diaz Grullon died yesterday. Winner of the 1997 National Literature Award, he is recognized for his psychological approach to story telling. He is also recognized for his efforts to strengthen democracy. He worked at the Interamerican Development Bank and Central Bank for several years where he was secretary of the Monetary Junta.
