Minigolf fever has taken hold of Puerto Plata, after the Playa Naco Resort opened its nine hole mini golf course. The president of Hotelera Naco, Johnny Bernal, as well as the general manager of the Playa Naco, Gustavo Novo, have commented on how well tourists and local residents have taken to the game.

Last week, Continental Airlines announced its new flights from the United States to Latin America and Japan. These will be non-stop flights from Newark, New Jersey, to Panama and Guayaquil, Ecuador.
