The Dominican Republic has established diplomatic relations with Nigeria. Nigeria is the third African country with which the DR has diplomatic relations, along with Egypt and South Africa. Florentina Adenike Ukonga, high commissioner for the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Jamaica, signed the joint declaration that marks the new relationship.
