Recreation is the main reason given by non-resident air arrivals, according to the Central Bank. 94.09% of those polled said they were leisure visitors and 91.35% said they would be staying at hotels. According to the Central Bank 61.10% of tourists traveling to the DR are 21 to 49 years old and 52.19% are women.
