Postal code

The national postal service (INPOSDOM) has announced the assignment of postal codes to all neighborhoods in Santo Domingo. The five-digit codes, which are displayed online at http://www.inposdom.gov.do, are being implemented to expedite the classification of mail. As reported in Diario Libre, the plan is to make the use of the postal codes obligatory.
