President Leonel Fernandez visited the Santo Domingo Yacht Club in Andres, Boca Chica yesterday for the ribbon cutting ceremony marking the opening of the club’s new facilities. Extensive remodeling works at the club include the lobby, gazebo, pool, restaurant-terrace, lounge, multi-purpose hall, parking area, play areas, sailing and boat areas and docks.

The Senate has approved a US$54 million loan for the construction of the Autopista del Coral, the 70km La Romana-Punta Cana highway.
