Drinking water for the border

The Spanish Cooperation Agency (AECID) will be donating EUR7 million towards improving the water sources of the rivers Macasias, Pedernales and Manoguayabo. As reported by project coordinator David Luther, some 450,000 people will benefit. The local counterpart contribution is US$1.5 million. The project is known as “Water for Development,” as reported in El Dia.
