New RD$200 bill

The Central Bank has announced that a new version of the RD$200 bill will be circulating as of Monday, 16 September. The bill will now read “pesos dominicanos” or Dominican pesos instead of “pesos oro” or gold pesos. The old bill will still be valid and will circulate alongside the new bill.

38 Dominican military and police generals retired

The Executive Branch has announced that 38 generals and 259 colonels have been retired from the military forces and the Police. Likewise, in separate decrees, the Presidency announced the promotion of 7,890 agents within the military and police ranks.
