The Medina administration has announced the completion of the four and six-lane Santiago to Navarrete highway, the Autopista Joaquin Balaguer. The highway connects to the Puerto Plata and Montecristi roads. The highway is 18 km long and ranges from four to six lanes with each lane measuring about 3.6 meters in width.
