Almost no inflation in March

The Central Bank reports that the Consumer Price Index varied only by 0.01% in March, with accumulated inflation for the January-March 2016 first quarter at a negative 0.58%. The annualized inflation for March 2015 to March 2016 was 1.59%. Tax collections up 20.9% in March

The Tax Agency (DGII) reports that tax collections in March 2016 were RD$29.42 billion compared to the same month last year. This is an increase of RD$5.08 billion more, or 20.9% over March 2015.
