On the occasion of the Year of Dance sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Carlos Veitia is presenting “Cuerpo a cuerpo” by the Ballet Concierto Dominicano dance troupe at the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Santo Domingo on 15 and 16 April 2016 at 8:30pm. A study carried out by Oxfam, Flacso-RD and Casa Ya of Foro Ciudadano has found that the Dominican Republic has a housing deficit of two million. In a revised estimate for economic growth in the region, the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) says that growth in the Dominican Republic will be 5.5%, surpassed in the region only by Panama with 6.2%.
