A contestant from the Dominican Republic, Candida Lara, was crowned Reina Internacional del Cafe at a ceremony last week in Manizales, Colombia. Miss Dominican Republic had previously represented the country in the Miss Universe contest held in May 1995 in Namibia. She is 21 years old and comes from San Cristobal.
