Those of you that said other inmates were waiting for the murderers seem to be correct.

The jail population appears to have such strong desires to put their hands on the murderers, that the jail authority decided to isolate 3 of them from the general population for their personal safety.

"An entire unit meant to house 50 inmates at Rikers Island has been set aside for three of the men accused of killing 15-year-old Lesandro "Junior" Guzman-Feliz at a Bronx bodega, a high-ranking jail source told PIX11 News Tuesday.

Those three men – Danel Fernandez, 21; Jose Muniz, 21 and Santiago Rodriguez, 24 – have been isolated from other inmates because of threats made against them, sources said. Other inmates “want blood from them.”

“I’ve never seen an entire unit dedicated to just three suspects,” a source told PIX11."

3 of ‘Junior’s’ accused killers have entire Rikers jail to themselves: source

I guess even among criminals there's a limit to what they are willing to accept. Viciously killing a kid seems to create as much repulse among them as it does in the general population, but with the added twist that many of the criminals behind bars are capable of killing these guys for what they did.

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A ninth man was arrested on Tuesday in connection to the brutal murder of a 15-year-old boy outside a bodega in the Belmont section last month.

29-year-old Diego Suero was facing multiple charges including murder and gang assault. Sources tell CBS2 he’s believed to be the local leader of the violent ‘Trinitarios’ street gang.

NYPD is not playing around with this case. If it were not for that video camera these guys would probably still be out on the street...........

Are the drivers of the escape vehicles not culpable as well? I have not read where they have been captured.

Justice will be served if and when the killers enter the general prison population. Not while they enjoy protective custody. But gangs are the scourge of the earth, doesn't matter the colors, or the name, or the place.

You can bet that eventually they will be released to the general prison population. Right now
the reason why they are being protected is because they need them alive for the trial.

I am actually surprised that neither Trump nor Sessions have jumped all over this. Those kids make a perfect argument against chain migration if there is any.
Exactly, who were the guarantors? they should go over that file with a fine-tooth comb and get that family the hell out of the country and recind any citizenship that was done on the basis of Lies.

All of them 18-24 years old, except one and the leader. Guaranteed that there are thousands more just waiting to join the ranks. Gang culture is ruthless and barbaric, and they know exactly who to target.

I saw a video clip of the victim's father today in a press interview. He is now on his THIRD new tattoo (hand, neck, arm) since his son's murder. Those generous donations keep pouring in. Amazing.

Heard through the grapevine that Junior was a crypt.

No. Junior was never part of any gang. The whole conflagration has many aspects to it, but it was all started by the 15 year-old girl who willingly made the sex tape in question, bragged about it to friends, knew the guy she was screwing was going to post it on social media, then blamed someone else so her chopo boyfriend wouldn't be the one that got chopped up.

This information I received straight from one of the detectives working the case, who is a friend of mine.

It reminds me of the Mount St. Ursula scandal, where an underage female student of the school made a porno in her Catholic school uniform. She was being treated as a "victim" by the authorities because she was underage. What a laugh.
