Espn

Are you listening to the announcers for espn debate who is more popular in the DR, Pedro or A-rod? As if peter gammons has any idea, I thing they should be consulting criscolon.

Alt+tab

Just have your hands on the keyboard with a full screen application on in the background.

Once anyone violates baseball viewing airspace, a quick "ALT+TAB" brings you back to email, or .xls or whatever.

Jesus is coming....everyone look busy.

He still calls Martinez's hometown Montaguayabo.

Unless there is something I'm missing, no maps show such a place.

You are listening wrong... it is Manoguayabo... on the outskirts of Santo Domingo city.

You're funny. I'm loving Tone's commentary anyways. Better if he did it play-by-play ;) , but I understand he's at work.

He's been spelling it with a "T" for a decade.

I've written to him to correct it. His writing is atrocious anyway. No bother.

Going to miss the rest.

But the game is just getting good - on the path we've been predicting.

A battle, one in which the DR bullpen is going to be brought to the woodshed.

Great call by the umpires on the near-HR by Cabrera. Impressive to get such a tough call correct on the first try.

Top of 8th - V. Zambrano vs. DR

Alberto Castillo - strikes out on 3 pitches, nasty stuff by Zambrano

Willy Tavares - bunts down 3rd base line, Miguel Cabrera with a great play for the out

Alfonso Soriano - grounds out to 3B to end inning

NOTE: Of both teams so far, Victor Zambrano has thrown the best, very nasty stuff. Go figure, since he sucks in the MLB.

Top of 9th - DR up to bat

Arghhh. My IE locked and closed down the window I was doing play by play on. This is a quick wrapup from memory.

Victor Zambrano was still in, I believe.

Miguel Tejada - Bunted for a single, down 3rd base line. V. Zambrano wild pitched him over to 2nd.

Albert Pujols - Fly out to LF. Tejada stayed at 2nd.

Carlos Hernandez in to pitch, lefty vs. lefty.

David Ortiz - hits a bomb over the RF fence for a 2 run HR. DR 8, VZ 5

Moises Alou - Smokes a single to LF

Jorge Julio in to pitch.

Adrian Beltre hits a bomb to right CF for a 2 run homer. DR 10, VZ 5

Juan Encarnacion hits a single to RF.

Alberto Castillo hit by pitch, Encarnacion to 2nd, Castillo on 1st

Willy Tavares pops out to 1B.

Ronnie Belliard smokes one to LF for a single, Encarnacion scores from 2B. DR 11, VZ 5.

Tejada grounds out to SS.

DR 11, VZ 5
