Use DEEP WOODS OFF

Anna mentioned DEEP WOODS OFF earlier in the thread. I always use it in the DR and it works great. Without it, they eat me alive.

I know it may seem crude , but lots of wild garlic (leeks) will repel
mosquitos , blackflys , sandflys , deerflys , horseflys , and all your friends . Available in Canada aka trilliums in april . Let us
not forget about vinagre to relieve the itch from any bite , Insect that is , also reminds you of fries and poutine . I guess I will not be too hard to find in Juan Dolio in feb. although I have never
been bothered in Dominican Republic by bugs , other than Human
that would drive Me to extreme measures such as I mentioned I
will save the Heavy Duty stuff for Quebec fishing trips in May .

About mosquitoes there ain't nothin that works. Now about the itch if it really affects you I think you are too nervous and anxious. Regular folk down here get bit all the time and are impervious to it. They get bit the same but it doesn't affect them. Try relaxing or doing some hindu meditation or something like that and you won't care if you get bit. Also sleep with a net.

...unless there is an Avon distributer in the DR - highly unlikely.
Au contraire! Every Juana, Maria and Yudelkis sells Avon products!

interesting

I would think the sweet smell w/ attract them even more. Have to try it when I go down in the Spring.
