I'm surprised that Subaru has never taken a firm foothold in the DR. Their standards of engineering is comparable to a swiss watch. Just check inside the door shuts. You will see the rubber mouldings held in with stainless steel screws.

They really are great vehicles. Shame they dropped the new Tribeca, nice SUV.

i agree wholeheartedly. a magnificent machine. and bulletproof..

I have the 20012 Overland Summit and love it.

Only drive it 7-8,000 miles a year (in No America) and it runs like a dream

All the undercarriage is Mercedes.... everything is automatic
Lights, wipers....
Comfortable, good looking (to me)

and well priced.

I had traded a pretty upscale car and the dealer asked what i was going buy...
I was looking at the Porsche Cayenne....
Why? he asks - look at the Jeep.
Same HP, Hemi durability and $30,000 cheapre.

SOLD!

And BTW - it's very fast.
Cuts back to 4 cyl on the highway... good gas mileage.

Not all of that benefits in RD

I'm not surprised, it's eighteen thousand years into the future! *That 20012 model,*:bunny:

Best bet is to run the year and model on carcomplaints.com and check recall and complaints section. Some research can help you avoid repairs and problematic vehicles.

A 04-06 chevy tahoe kicks but all day, a real truck with real engine and 4x4, 4 bucket seats and a bench in the back. Cant go wrong!

Prado, montero, mdx, pilot are all good and have a great resale, but for that 1 keeper, 04-06 tahoe is the way to go.

Never had as many blown engines and transmissions as I have with Subaru. Nothing but issues and big ones in my experience.

Blame it on Jeep.

They make a Grand Cherokee Limited.....and a Wrangler Unlimited. Talk about confusion within the brand....

Lots of bar bets won and lost over their use of both Limited and Unlimited.

What about the Dodge Durango, basically a stretch version of the Grand Cherokee, I read.

Opinions?
