There's a lot of different runs you could do:
1. Cabarete to playa grande, eat lobster on the beach, swim, make love, take a nap, then head back. there''s a private beach right past playa grande that i wrote about earlier in the weak. i would check that place out.
2. Cabarete to La Cumbre: eat lunch, hang out, and then head back. it's a stunning ride, with hundreds of curves!
3. If youre slightly an advanced rider, you can head from cabarete to charimicos, take a left at the bottom--where there is a small river and a motorcycle dealership, and lots of traffic coming from that left hand road. there you head south until you run into the river, cross it, then keeping heading south-east until you come up in Jamao Norte. that ride is amazing!!!!!! you feel like your doing drugs once you get past all the people and are out into deep, deep countryside with only the trees and breeze as your only companions.
4. Cabarete to Teleferico, but taking a left on a dirt road at the top of puerto plata--before you start descending down into puerto plata where there is the go cart track. You want to turn left at the top of that hill--that will take you the back way into puerto plata and you will meet a service road that comes up the back of Teleferico. take lots of pictures once you reach the top of teleferico, then head back the same way, or take a right to San Marcos and then come back through Puerto plata--driving through the city.
5. Cabarete to the Turistica highway. There, head up and over the mountain to Santiago. once you come over the mountain and are almost in the city, head to a cafe at the bottom of the Turistico highway--i think its called Campagnia's or something like that. hang out there, then come back the same way--over the mountain and watch the kaleidescope of invigorating colors and smells will intoxicate you and mesmorize you. take a girl with you. hell, take two girls with you!
