So going back to the enforcement. It's a NO. Still to this day nobody can say that they have been pulled over and asked about having the kit. A fool and his money are quickly separated. Is that how the saying goes?

But, many people now have blankets for those chilly nights, when they want to cuddle up and snuggle off the side of the road.

Here is an update to my post. We spent three weeks in Bavaro at Los Corales. The driving rule is the same as ever. There is but one rule if you are a foreigner and can fit into local traffic. The rule is: Don't get in an accident.






We had a great time there. We enjoyed the insane driving, the people, the beaches, watching motoconcho drivers otherworldly maneuvers, restaurants and of course, the local food. DR definitely rates a return visit next year.
