Nice restaurants in Santiago
It is at the corner of the Ave. Juan Pablo Duarte and Calle Lic. Genaro Perez, three blocks East (away from the Ave. Estrella Sadhala) of La Plaza International on the same side of the street.
Chip, I TOLD you and Aftab at that place when it was still the Argentinian place that if y'all didn't quit throwing verbal punches solving the world's problems all the customers would leave...:cheeky:

awesome mexican food!
there is a new place called zokalo, I do not have the number handy but it is on hache, just past avenida texas. it is on the opposite side of the street of plaza texas, and a building or 2 down. Look for the big gray building which is a new shopping center, there is underground parking. This place has fantastic mexican food! soon they will deliver too, I can't wait!
They are so new there are no signs yet.
I recommend the mega flautas, norteno burrito, and tacos al pastor

oh and if you ask for it they even have hot salsa... and i mean hot

This trip i did go to puerto madero, and let me say WOW. had the entranas meal 12 oz, 3/4 done.
might be the best piece of meat ive ever sunk my teeth into in my life. it was so good i think were going back today to here, usually i like to try other places when im on a short vacation, but i think i have to have that meat again.

The best chivo picante in the DR. " Restaurant Cacique " it is 20 minutes after Mao on the way to Moncion, nice place to spend a Sunday in companion of the family where you can enjoy the fresh wind of the mountain, the confort of the tipical rockingchair and the baby can play on the swin.
Paparazzo next to Tribecas has very good food and is reasonably priced and a nice place to take a date for a quiet evening.
I second this recommendation. Also they are open all day from Noon on, so you can go at 3PM for example, when most places do not serve food.
Coming from Nacional supermarket on Estrella, head towards the Monument on Estrella. Make a right turn on Duarte, this is where the Codetel building is on your left. Go straight about 1KM or less and keep looking on your right for a sign on a corner for Paparazzo. You make a right as the sign says, one more block and another sign will tell you to turn right and it is on your left next to Tribeca.
Paparazzo Calle Mauricio Alvarez #6 809-587-6578. If you get lost call. But once you see the sign you will find it easily.
