today we will get the mix of more clouds than sun,
the effect of bypassing Hurricane Omar on it's way towards the northern Antilles.
for today and tomorrow morning we should expect the mix of sun and clouds combined with some showers, the PC area is in no kind of danger, Omar is passing our area far enough on the southeast on a straight Northeastern track.

it felt nice fresh Chiri, yes,
but i have 81F here that's 27-28C,
not so bad for a cool morning, he he.
temps will climb more.
been dow n at the marina around 8AM
and did a sweep throu Bavaro afterwards, back in cabeza de toro now.
sun is out, the early morning clouds are at the moment gone.
ocean is like usual with a strong system nearby completely flat,
wind turned on NE, but calm, maybe 10 miles per hour.
Omar will be at his closest point to us inaround 1hr, noon, straight southeast of PC in a comfortable safe distance for us.
we will get some swells from the southeast after he passed that area, most likely during tonight, maybe early morning tide moves a bit strange tomorrow morning, nothing to worry about. today will stay mostly sunny,
by the actual situation i do not expect much showers, IF we get a shower.
after the little swell from the SE passed we should get some clouds with a fresher breeze from the NE for a day, let's say during thursday and thursday night, and all will be back to normal, nothing out of the ordinary.
happy traveling
Mike

and just to let the world know that we are still alive.
not drowned by some monster floodings or blown away in a historical breeze or out of internet connection or such.
we are here,
we are still sunny,
pure full sunshine, no clouds nowhere out there,
we run high 80's from early morning on,
some showers watering the garden over night would be a sweet dream,
and not come trues very soon, noap.
we run a low eastern breeze,
calm inshore and offshore waters.
nothing changed and no change in vicinity.
back to the beach
have a great weekend everybody

sorry for my lazyness in posting about PC weather the last times.
but there's absolutely nothing to report aside the fact that we spent all afternoons from the moment the boy is home from school on a hot sunny cloudfree beach.
to post at this moment a morning picture shot from the sky could lately really be done by using the same shot every day and post the same copy again and again and ...
we run our mid 80's,
fully sunny,
eastern breeze varies little from 7-11 mphr,
inshore and offshore waters are for this time of the year the calmest i remmber,
and i am on my 14th fall in PC now.
we get several short showers per week during nighttime,
been a while that i got hit by a raindrop on daytime,
so in case of visitors who do not have to take care about a garden and it's watering, the weather is just perfect.
and actually no change in vicinity.
if something will come up it will be by actual conditions in the southern or southwest caribbean sea and more likely more rain for the suffering central american countries than a upcoming tropical depression or storm.
for the east coast of hispaniola anything forming like a little disturbance or even more would be a big surprice against the "rules".
sure there are no real rules,
but our offshore conditions are actually by far not favorable to let any disturbance grow up to anything.
and we have no disturbances around at this moment anyways.

enjoy a sunny rainfree east coast weekend everybody.
i know i will.

hey buddy,
really cloudy and rainy??
not as far as of my knowledge,
ate least not since the 2 rainy days sept 2nd and 3rd.
if you have some pure rainy water left, bring it over,
could need some for the trees and flowers in the garden.
my UFO (unbelieveable female object) in the house always thinks it is me who is called the gardener to water that stuff of her's, ha ha.
we are since more that 4 weeks on stunning sunny caribbean skies in PC, no more that sometimes, and just sometimes, a few minutes short showers.
this 2008 summer been def much too dry over here.
come over and have fun

just to let the DR world know that i did not forget this thread,
but as a matter of fact we have luckily nothing new to report in case of the weather for the dominican east coast/punta cana.
we are on typical november weather, that means
4-5 nights with short showers per week,
4-5 daytime showers per week, isolated by areas,
daytime temps in the 80'sF, nighttime low 70'sF,
offshore waters 5-6ft,
winds around 10-12 knots mostly from the east, sometimes ENE,
low humidity, so just perfect to get that famous caribbean Tan.
weather conditions east of PC look actually clear
and are expected to stay like that til mid november.
the developing disturbance in the caribbean SEA, east of Nicaragua,
will not effect PC weather, even that it most likely will become TS Paloma
within the next 48hrs.
happy Tanning
Mike

hey,
everybody on the Beach???
yes,
that's the thing to do
and our PC weather will play that sunny game with everybody.
i really lost the exact count,
but we are actually on around 40 days of consecutive sunshine,
not counting the very short day or night refreshment showers.
Palomita is gone,
94 never been a theme,
by present offshore conditions i would say we look on an other disturbance free week on the dominican east coast.
a short shower here or there once in a while, who cares?
mostly just pure caribbean sunshine,
no high humidity,
temps still in the 80's.
we are actually in the phase with our mid morning hightide,
great for fishing, the best days on the solunar calendars during november,
beachs are a bit choppy for that,
breeze this morning on strong 13knots,
calming down a bit during the next couple days,
offshore Sea should remain on it's 5-6 ft with higher tops,
dorados, wahoo and sailfish have great conditions to bring sportfishermen's fun during the next 10 days.
enjoy our long holiday weekend
Mike
off for the .....

welcome to the bord dave.
actually we have nothing ariund or predicted to disturb our usual november weather.
hurricane Paloma died, is moving as a little disturbance far away from PC, and the disturbance watched mid atlantic has nearly no possibilities to develop anything and is anyways so far northeast of PC that a development would not have influence on the area.
right now we are just looking on our usual november weather,
i.e. today we are again on over mid 80's,
strong humidity,
winds are low and Sea is quiet, under 5ft,
since early morning the sun is out in full.
welcome to paradise

so welcome to paradise Dave.
this morning i faced actually the 2nd day in a row with dead winds down here on the southern tip at the marina, right aside the airport where you arrived.
i can not comment on showers or such up in your area, those few miles of distance can make a big difference sometimes, but down here we've again on a perfect sunny windfree caribbean beach day, we had again our mid 80's and nearly no clouds around, no daytime shower today again at my place, ocean been flat in the morning, wind dead, no more than 8 knots at max during peak moments today.
we caught a dozen of small dorados, 1 20lbs'er and a 50lbs wahoo,
life is good
actually there's nothing in vicinity to disturb the usual rhytm of caribbean fall weather, it looks like we just go on to get a short few minutes lasting shower once in a while, not everyday, and sure not everywhere on the east at the same time, ocean from 3-5ft, winds changing daily/hourly from 7-10 knots blowing mostly from the straight east, 12 knots would be a top, aside of a few and only for a short daytime bothering clouds days pass as pure caribbean sunshine without the typical summer humidity.
get that Tan.
have fun
Mike

yeap,
that's caribbean weather forecasting.
i pressed enter to post the above and pressed the button to load the actual radar shot and what i see??
and right now can also feel right here on the beach in front of the house?
that wind gusts up a lot and it sure will rain very soon around the house,
but no worries, nothing of such will last long enough to be still present when i wake up in the morning.
