Two bus stations in Santo Domingo?? Only one proper bus station for interchange has been built and that adjoins Parque del Este and is not operating. However if you are referring to the bus terminal of Caribe Tours and the other bus terminal of Metro and Caribe Tours is slightly closer to the airport but still can take over one hour by taxi to arrive there from the airport, depending on the time of day . Between 6 and 10 in the weekday mornings when it is a nightmare trying to cross the bridge over Rio Ozama it could take almost two hours .

What would be your best guess time wise bus station to airport on a Sunday afternoon say 1 p.m. by taxi ?

I know this wasn't addressed to me but...

Sunday at 1PM is just as bad if not worse. The peaje (toll booth) backs up very often because of people escaping the capital and going to the beaches, from Boca Chica on eastward. It will not be fun.
