Just checking up to see whether anyone had had a good meal worth talking about. I am always happy to read Of

Thank you and buen aprobecho. Jeb

Nam Nam in Punta Cana around the corner from el dorado plaza and down the street from Playa Turquesa. Amazing home made fresh food, prepared to order and well priced. The owners alexandra and dushan are from Serbia and they just make you feel at home. Posada De Gladys is great for authentic Dominican food and again priced very well.

Thanks, as always for your reply. I love Acentos Bistro... was just their 2 days ago and it was outstanding, last time I went to
Carbon I was slightly disappointed (though the beans were delicious). I will get to Nam Nam and have always wanted to get to posada Gladys and will make it my business to get there. I want to try pizza at Venezia and really enjoys Balicana too. What
kind of food at Crema and where in La Romana?

Onno's in Cortecito has a daily happy hour special 2 for 1 pizza and pasta for 400RD.
Nam Nam as mentioned
Also a new pizza place in plaza Nautica beside Chez Mon Ami, I haven't eaten there yet but the menu looks good and the pizza is cooked over a wood fire oven much like Venezia.

Noah next to San Juan Shopping Center is awesome. Also, for traditional dominican fare, La Casita de Yeya in the Coco Loco crossing is good.

Well we have had a pizza delivered from this place called Bella Napoli in Plaza Nautica - it was dreadful, under cooked, stodgy and just nothing like a 'proper' Napolitano pizza should be. I seriously wouldn't eat there until they have improved.. but they do have competitive pricing!

Nam nam as mentioned in Punta Cana, Alexandra is so incredibly helpful.
Le Petit Jardin (almost opposite nam nam) does a good pizza, they will cook it as you want it (thin, well done or stodgy)
Citrus (Playa Tuurquesa) does incredible sushi (2x1 on Mondays) and I love their citrus steak, spinach dip etc.
Ama in El Dorado plaza does some good Italian food too

"La Garota" at Plaza Turquesa; it's a Brazillian Restaurant right next to Restaurant "Citrus". They offer Rodizio "all you can eat" for 1.000 RD$.

Ciccolella will reopen in November, after their first 3 years here being open 7 days a week all year round, they decided to close for the 'summer' months so that they can go home and see their family and relax. So they should be open again in November. Last year they were a little late in opening but generally it is around the last week of October, the first week of November.

I haven't tried this restaurant but would love to as I have heard some great reviews. Unfortunately the MIL doesn't eat that much so the RD$1,000 wouldn't be worth it for us, but if I go I would most definitely come back and do a review. They don't take credit cards (yet) which is a shame as I don't always have RD$3,000 plus drinks etc. on me :(

Citrus was the bomb today for lunch! Had the mojito steak and the brownie for dessert. Think I'm done eating for the day!

nobody mentioned JellyFish... always a good meal. tourist prices, but worth it. Non Solo Pizza is also making some really good entres besides pizza. We also enjoy the little German place in Plaza Artistica, good for a lunch if you like German / Bavarian food. ditto the raves for Noah (best I've found so far), and Citrus (same owners as Noah), along with BaliCana. Gladys remains on my "bucket list"... I HAVE to get there next trip. Believe it or not, I had some damn good burgers at Danny's Sports Bar in el Dorado. Always seems to be more places to try than time to try them. :)

Chiramoya....ate at Crema yesterday...Everything we ate wad just delicious. I had not seen your original review about
Falafel but ordered it yesterday. The falafel itself was tasty tasty tasty and I have eaten falaffels from Tel Aviv to the very famous falaffels place in Paris..all I can say is it wad right up there with the best. Also we had the cheese ate, the German chocolate cake, cappuccino and a chicken pasta dish. All very good. At the next table my friend noted that the hamburger looked very
Good. I am wary about ordering hamburgers because I have yet to eat anything resembling good hamburger in DR but I think next time (this Wednesday) when I have to go back to La Romana...I believe I will give burger a try. Thanks for mentioning
Crema.

I am not a meat eater but my carnivorous boys have spoken well of the burger and especially the ribs.

Danny's bacon cheese steakburger is excellent. It's not really a burger, but a smaller steak cooked bite-tender with bacon and cheese on top. It's about $300 RD, with my delivery it's about a $10 US burger, but for a steak sandwich.

Just need to mention .....
We went to Noah's for lunch friday had the most delicious burger you can imagine. Would recommend it to anyone anywhere.
Also we keep returning to Crema in La Romana.... Simply excellent everything we have ordered not to mention oh my goodness their cakes best I have eaten outside of Paris. The chinola cheesecake, the German chocolate cake, and the tiramisu, the
Coconut, the pecan tart. Go for anything they have. I hope you will be as happy as we are.

Le Vivier in Dominicus, a bit expensive, but fresh&nice langouste and 'cigale de mer',some prehistoric lobster, excellent beef, the chef is french, Chinatown near parque central in La Romana,Trigo de Oro for an excellent sandwich&coffee, also in La Romana, Saona caf? for hamburgers and local cuisine in Bayahibe, El Arponera in Boca de Yuma has the best seafood and is half the price from Bayahibe!
If you want Dominican food just get a girlfriend and let her mother cook for you, unbeatable and 'free':devious:
