WHAT a shame. A $70,000.00 USD car destroyed by inexperience and who knows what else was in the kids system. When you ride the train, you pay the fare.

Sorry for his family BUT, young guy, new flashy car, suddenly rich, Dominican highway, = recipe for disaster. Very predictable. Live fast, die young. Bet it will be a great turnout and a fancy funeral. RIP.

Yes, recipe for disaster in the DR. Driving too fast for weather and road conditions, drinking & drugs, not paying attention, an over powerful car and going nowhere much too fast. Sad but true.

I personally saw this vehicle at the AMET station this morning and I can say for sure that if a steering wheel was on the right side, it sure as hell wasn't there then!! What a bummer, so young...my condolences to the family. RIP. :(

I doubt if she asked him to slow down and drive safely.. (what my GF would!)

It's strange that you would say that.
I watched the short video and what stood out for me was a look of unease on her face.
You can see her gesture to him with her hand.........watch the road.
I have been there...(who hasn't) with a driver that is making us very uncomfortable.
The automoblile becomes a weapon.
She saw it coming.
He didn't.
May they rest in peace.

I just read through this thread and I am wondering was the same stuff said about the actor Paul Walker when he was killed in an auto accident on a nice sunny day in L.A.

Implying that it was his fault is so unfair. It is called an "accident" for a reason. Bad luck played a major role in the car crash then anything.

At 22 you believe you are INVINCIBLE and dying in a car crash is something an average 22 yr old believe will never happen to them.

BTW Some of you will be shocked when I tell you most deaths relating to the automobile happen on bright sunny days or clear nights when the sky is filled with stars.

BTW, JMB, spare us the "bad luck" nonsense. when you get behind the wheel of a powerful car in a driving rainstorm, you make your own luck. how, you ask? you do not trample the gas pedal, that's how.

My ex wife uncle in SD is the worst driver I have ever witness LOL!!! He can drive in reverse as fast as the car is in drive. He has almost crash us over a 100 times and he has avoided accidents many times cause by HIM!!! Ask me how many times he has been in a serious crash???? Wait for it NEVERRRRRR!!!!

Do you think her uncle will let a wet rode slow him down??? NO way because I have rode a couple of times with him in the rain with the windows fogged up and his gas pedal is still his favorite part of the car.

LUCK plays a major role in dying in a car crash. I wish I can show you the photo of one of my bosses who was in a crash and his car looked a 100 times worst then the Camaro.

he just has not hit anything YET. there is a little something called the Law of Averages.

by the way, most wrecks take place in good weather. know why? when it sucks, most people slow down, and drive like scared mice. if they hit anything, it is usually a fender bender.
