Well we thought we were going to get rain yesterday but it didn't happen, at least not much. We got a short sprinkle about 4:30 pm and we had some thunder and lightening off in the distance but no real rain....

Good morning. Wow, did we have some thunder and lightening last night! The clouds rolled in late in the day and the sky got really black. Then the lightening started and I swear the thunder was directly overhead for an hour. It crashed and the white streaks lit up the sky.
BUT we got virtually no rain! Unreal.
Rightn ow we have partly cloudy skies with lots of blue patches. It is hot and humid with a nice breeze.

Hmmm I am positive I posted the weather yesterday but it is not appearing.... Go figure.
The weather is once again stunning. As they say - "It's a beautiful day in the neighbourhood, a beautiful day in the neighboorhood, would you be mine, could you be mine, won't you be my neighbour?" Anyone else remember Mr. Rogers????
Ok back to the weather. It is currently 86F but it feels much hotter. There is not a cloud in sight and we have a very light breeze. Yes, it is humid. We got a quick rainshower last night about 6pm. They just did some construction on my street (non paved road) now it is a mud hole. What a mess. But it will soon dry out.

Good morning everyone. We have another fabulous day here. The sky is brigh blue, not a cloud to be seen and we have a nice breeze. The temp now is 87 F but it feels hotter.
I will not post tomorrow (well maybe from Rocky's) I am off to the DR1
July 4th party (ok a bit early) I predict another fabulous day tomorrow.

Excellent idea this weather report. Never been to DR, well never been to abroad before (outside UK) so am finding it useful to help plan my first trip. Obviously wouldn't know a tropical storm if it bit me on the bum so not so sure how serious it all is. Anyway, am hoping to go on end aug beginning sept to PTO Plata (as long as no one tells me it would be a big mistake), and from reading what I have I think I may be right in presuming its all a bit of a lottery, yes?

I hope so Planner. The tropical waves have been hiding themselves under layers of other weather and also following the coastline of Central America. There is one lying just outside the Caribbean Island Chain ... and this one should drop some needed rain relief on us when it arrives.
