Ok TaylorMade fanboys slow down, so promoting a party where the only point of the party is for clients and prostitutes to get together and a third party is making a profit (in this case Taylor) in the process is not pimping and is not illegal? Ok.

And in Bobby's case opening a bar where everyone comes including prostitutes looking for clients, and the owner of the bar is not involved in the transaction whatsoever is illegal and you get deported? Ok.

NO it's not Pimping it's promotion ( like you stated )....don't confuse the two

pimping:noun

the action or practice of controlling prostitutes and arranging clients for them, taking part of their earnings in return.

In the DR, it's pimping. They make the rules.

If you advertise (or promote) prostitution in any way at all, are you not guilty of arranging clients for them?

As a poster ctrob below just stated: In the DR that is pimping. They make the rules. This is the DR, not the USA.

Someone actually tried to advertise a new brothel in my development on the Internet. They were found out and shut down for pimping.

Fanboys? You attacked someone when you're clueless. That doesn't make anyone a fanboy it simply makes you seem like an ignorant clown with an axe to grind. And yes, he is still providing for that orphanage.

financing is available for you, I would not buy in Sosua, but you might very well be cozy in a 30thousand dollar condo

Do you have a link, I have investors, I was unable to find anything decent under $75K.

So why is places like mangos open in the capitol? By your definition its pimping and yet its been open for years. It isnt pimping. The definition is the same everywhere

Who knows? I never heard of the place and hate Santo Domingo. This is the DR, they make the rules as needed. Location by location if necessary. Selective enforcement.

The shut down recently came from Santo Domingo and after a delay by Sosua, was finally implemented. You might want to ask the Attorney General in Santo Domingo how and why the laws might have been unequally applied.

It's simple what TaylorMade is doing isn't pimping. And promoting a party and pimping aren't equivalent. I need someone to show me this law in the Dominican Republic or you guys are just making up things as usual.

Your own definition has "and arranging clients for them" which sound like promotion to me. Right inside the definition of pimping you posted.

Bottom line is a guy promoting a party with prostitutes is very likely to get shut down.
Let's use the "human trafficking" excuse if you don't like the use of "pimping".

Agreed it would be good to see the actual laws, for that its worth.

Human trafficking is something that someone is forced to do not choosing to do something....so no it's not Human Trafficking ether

Unless the North Coast and the South Coast are totally different promoting sex isnt the same as pimping. For example down here they have several bars where you walk inside, pick a girl, buy her drinks and then you can take her home. So what TaylorMade is doing is nothing compared to that and these businesses are legal and have been open for years. If they're not going after these businesses then they are not going after a man who has a party every 3 or 4 months.

What the government says it is. That is what is important. Back to the real point, promotion is considered pimping here from everything I have ever seen on it but objections by those who think they are not the same. But, I too would like to see the laws specific to this to see just how much they might be bent.

Nooo. And you know that's a no. If a worker has sex with a man and she has to give over some or all of her earnings that is pimping. Come on bro. You're way off here. Now if the DR says dont promote parties with sex workers you may have something. But that doesnt exist either
