magically after the elections everything is going to return to normal.. my flight for june 4th is still on for MIA to POP. hoping if not cancelled I can just pay the immigration officer if there is any trouble, only time will tell

Travel insurance will not cover covid.What happens if a tourist arrives and gets sick with Covid19 while on vacation? Good luck getting back testing positive and good luck on paying for the hospital out of your pocket. Is the travel insurance going to pick up the bill?

So, why would normal tourists travel to the DR en mass? It seems mighty risky for the general traveller at this point.
Everybody had a chance to go home. Everybody are responsible for their own actions. If you are covered by local DR insurance, I believe they cover covid.
