Some people think regulations can stop this virus. There is no explaining to them that it won't, despite being able to see what is happening right in front of their eyes. Regulations will only slow it down for a while.
That’s the problem why it’s failing In DR and US ..Attitude ! Perception! Money! Politics! It worked with Canada it failed in DR and US because of election yr! Any other yr we would of been talking thank god it’s almost over!

For every State of Emergency thus far, the President has waited until after it was granted to announce what measures would be taken. He could say what will happen any time after it is approved tomorrow, Friday. Whatever he does, it will certainly not stop CV19. If we have not learned anything it is that there is no law, rule or regulation that a country can impose that people will tolerate that will stop CV19.
In totalitarian dictatorships people tolerate what the government tells them they will tolerate.
China has a great deal more people than the US and has stopped the spread.

A number of techniques for vaccines where companies are finding they can produce more antibodies than actually having CV19. That is the good news part.
And a bit hard to believe, but let us say that is true.

How long those antibodies last is the huge question. They last about 3 months if you are infected with CV19, which is very disappointing.

To control CV19, how long do the antibodies need to last for a vaccine to control CV19?
From what I have read the sickest people produce the longest lasting antibodies.
Worst of all it looks like you can get the virus more than one time.

I thought covid was slow mutating? And that was good thing , flu rapidly mutates ? Flu vaccines are hard to make because it is guessing game for strains to use vaccines are made 8-12 months before flu season.. they change now opinion?
It's a matter of time. Covid19 has had less than a year to branch into strains.
Flu has had countless millenniums and isolated populations to 'mature' into a plethora of strains.

You have to love the fact that he is wearing an N95 mask. That white valve on it lets out his breath into the room without filtering it at all.
There is nothing to love about a guy doing absolutely the right thing (unless he knows he is contaminated).

N95 are for contaminated or suspected environments. They protect the bearer.
Surgical and some other types of masks exist for sterile environments. They protect the environment.
Everyone who is not sick should wear N95. The sick persons should isolate themselves.

There is also a gray area: persons who may carry the virus without knowing it. This is where social distancing and isolation come ito play.

I learned all this watching CGTN videos.

And the DR is just so early in the pandemic. It hasn't even started.

Has there been a 8pm curfew or is it new? The police were out in force last night closing bars and threatening arrests for anybody leaving their home. (Puerto Plata).

Restaurants have to be closed by 8 p.m. but I have no idea why they're threatening people already

The 8pm-6am curfew ended beginning of July.

The original curfew was 5pm-6am.

Now it's back. 8pm-6am...which will do nothing imho.

Ever been in a public bathroom?

Good place for germs.....
remember -- BYOTP
What could corona virus, actually any virus, have something to do with public toilets? Yes, it may be there, no more and no less then on your kitchen table.
A dirty bathroom may be a nurturing spot for bacterial infections, but we have all learned the difference between bacteria and a virus, haven't we?
