Perhaps under the new administration we will see a new system of checks and balances.

Full hospitals, lots of new infections, and a bunch of DR process stuff that isn't going my way has me on edge these days. I am really worried about getting sick and falling through the cracks. Then I read that patients in hospitals need someone to look after them and I am lacking in that department too. All very depressing and a bit overwhelming if you let get to you.
The only place I would think of checking myself into would be Cedimat. Cdn, you're tougher than that. Try meditation. Vipasana.
You only need someone to look after you in the public hospitals - not the private clinics, and a public hospital would be the last place I would want to go if I were sick.
I was in CMC just a week ago. Didn't ask if they had any beds available, but it was a very relaxed atmosphere. Didn't seem like any crisis in there(?).
I wouldn't be able to get to Santo Domingo. Heck I can't get to HOMS in Santiago.

In the virtual meeting yesterday (Dominican Republic participating) China's Foreign Minister said that the vaccine developed in his country will be a public benefit of universal access, and that his country will designate a loan of $1 billion to support access

Not true or at least not true in all clinics. When I was In clinica Abreu last year. I had to have some one there. CEDIMAT no but lots of difference between those two.

Most people who fall sick with COVID-19 will experience mild to moderate symptoms and recover without special treatment.
Is this not correct?
For COVID-19, data to date suggest that 80% of infections are mild or asymptomatic, 15% are severe infection, requiring oxygen and 5% are critical infections, requiring ventilation. As time goes on, I expect the 80% to increase a bit and the other numbers to drop a bit as the old and infirm who are infected in nursing homes become smaller parts of those infected.
