Sounds like you know as much about the goings on in Sosua as you do about the razing of the beach Casita's. Again you bring up whore mongers and failed to realize the protocol for having a companion in any hotel. Why are you so jacked about the goings on in Sosua anyway, I think you said you live in Cab- non beach. anyway
Because I have lived since 2003, full time, in the area between Cabarete Center and Sosua. What happens in Sosua is of some interest.
And it always prompts a stimulating discussion of whore mongering when PC gets pulled into the discussion.

I have never said I could predict the future, other than recently going all in on Abinader to win.

How does it compare to the same time last year? Those that came down before the curfew are stuck for the duration of their trip and are making the best of it they can. I can't imagine many coming down now that the word is out that you have to be off the street by 7pm. If the number of cases don't drop, I think you can expect to see an extension of the curfew. Time will tell.

The curfew alone is not going to cut the number of new infections. We have to get the sick people off the streets and keep the healthy ones away from each other. All of the politicos and doctors know we needs lots more hospital beds and equipment, lots of talk but no real plans to create any additional treatment capacity. Other countries converted large buildings into temporary hospitals but that doesn't seem to be on the radar in this county. China built complete hospitals in record time. If the DR doesn't get it's act together very soon, the exponential spread we see going on today is only going to get worse very quickly and at that point no public health measures will have any effect. Because the hospitals are full, sick people are basically cast out into their towns and streets to fend for themselves where of course they infect family, friends and strangers they encounter along the way. The public health response from the authorities is wholly insufficient and they probably know this fact but choose not to address it. At this point about all one can say is that the govt isn't interested in doing what is needed to put the breaks on new infections and isn't the least bit interested in doing anything that will enable sick people to get the treatment they desperately need and deserve. Same for knocking down the spread. We all know how to do that but no govt actions seems geared towards this goal. Everything is still open and that invites people to gather and spread the disease. No wonder testing supplies are running out, the govt is cultivating so many new cases each day by inaction, testing can't possibly keep up. There does not seem to be any p[political will to do anything tangible to mitigate the disease in this country.

You sound like that guy in the bathroom stall next to Mike Tyson telling him how you will kick his ARSE.
and Mike says to you in a soft voice
" I don't think sooo"
My father used to bake chocolate chip cookies for Mike Tyson and the "good boys" at Tryon School in upstate NY.
Mike was in the "house" for the worst kids where my father was the cook and baker for NY state's young men's "prison".
That is where Mike was "discovered". My dad's nickname was KO. Not from fighting, but from pitching K's in baseball.

Back to the future plans of Sosua: The Hotels that will never be yet are starting to be there, the plans that may never be realized on Sosua beach that may or may not eliminate the casitas, and the red light district at the east end of Pedro Clisante which may or may not continue to be the whore monger central.

But first, a slight delay due to CV19. Or maybe a long delay.

People will only be confined and restricted for so long, won't they? Some people like to blame everything on the local government, or the main government, or someone else. I like to put the main blame on China. Nobody knows how to really handle a situation like this in any way that the people will withstand.

Seems to be true. Quarantining the whole population is at best a short-term solution to get things under control so that you can rely on contact tracing and quarantining infected, exposed, and/or travelers.

I have never been a frequent flyer to business location in the DR. I have none of the experience you have in this matter.

Your response on who is allowed into hotels varies greatly from others responses in this thread.
I think part of the confusion as to whom is allowed into the aforementioned big hotels in SD is that there is a huge difference between checking into one of these hotels solo and then trying to bring in a girl afterwards and checking in with a girl in tow. I have brought in what could be described as very questionable girls into both the Jaragua and Melia with no problems, the difference is I checked in with and registered the girl at check in. Most whoremongers don't do that, they check in solo and THEN go out looking for "companionship" and either try to walk her in unnoticed or check her in after the fact, neither of these scenarios will work in most high end hotels in the capital. A typical well to do Dominican isn't prowling the streets or going to the casino to pick up a working girl,he is checking in with his steady high priced arm candy, just have breakfast at any of these hotels, they stick out like a sore thumb as much as I do.

How long is short term?

Some members of the community have been calling for mandatory quarantines for 5 months now. Had they been heard then, we'd currently be under a 5 month quarantine now.......with no beneficial result to show.

While I do not agree with mandatory quarantines, I was firmly against opening up the doors for foreign visitors at this point in time.

Can you imagine the spread that is currently occurring in a small municipality like Sosua? One only need to view the video posted yesterday. Observe one person in that video as a + carrier, and let your imagination run wild.

Are those accommodations being utilized truly sanitized on a daily basis, or are you walking into a Covid19 fog once you open the door?

Due to the lack of superior accommodations in a locale as such, I would not believe their cleaning efforts are on par with AI measures.

Not to mention, those persons who maintain a revolving door for companionship. A possible revolving door of + carriers.

I watched a video early today of a few YouTuber's in the BC area
who were not wearing mask. Though I'm not 100% certain, I am
willing to say they probably just arrived from the US within the last
week or two. Not sure how the locals in and around BC feel about it
They will probably get harassed by the PN if doing the same in Sosua?

Cabarete
Fun ends in Sosua at 5pm today. I wonder how many mongers and/or chicas will be too blitzed to remember, if they even knew in the first place, and get arrested? Should be interesting.
