The unfortunate fact is that they burnt down the whole house to get rid of the cockroaches.
Rebuilding will take time,
And cockroaches are very resilient.

I have no math. I have questions. How much of that money was from whore mongers and how many whore mongers were there weekly?
In high season there would be 500+ whore mongers in Sosua per day, depending on your definition of whore monger.

So true - fried garbage left under warming lights for many hours. Inedible, which reminds me I had a dinner at a hotel restaurant last night ( I won't name it, but it has a pool next to the bar) - the food was literally inedible - what passes for restaurant food in Sosua is almost pathetic....with very few exceptions, and I wonder, if others think like me, it has been going downhill recently ?
Yes!!! Even my go to places have become hit n miss! Nelson's served me raw huge burger !

Yes , that's probably on the low end, JD crunched the numbers before on this thread and broke it down. I am sure it was double that, even the more reserved gentlman stayed in Cab and comuted up at night. It was a beautiful thing. $$$

I was wondering if you would count the guys on a family vacation who sneak off to play golf but instead go to a cabana. Then there are the guys who are at Playa Dorado who sneak across the street and go to the old Field of Dreams. Lots of invisible action going on.

I know, all of the people in Sosua will disappear soon. Just like they will in every Dominican town without enough whore mongers to save them.

Please let them enjoy that one little street/corner/intersection of what they believe is Dominican life.
The rest of the nation sleeps comfortably knowing that their lot is 'contained' there.
Some of them actually gain wives, and fulfillment in their own proper lives, which helps the RD economy in the long run.

Those countless cabanas on the North Coast are not for storing books.

It’s Really up to them Caonabo...if they stopped acting like privileged whore mongers life would be different and we wouldn’t be having this convo... like anything else it’s the 20% that ruin it for the rest.. they have lost so much already what’s really left now Bourbon getting attacked is only matter of time:cool:

Excuse me but since you know so much about DR ...doesn’t all of DR have countless Cabanas and even more because of population density?

Thank you lifeisgreat. You see, the stars can align every once in a while, and two persons with different mindsets can actually agree from time to time.
The assertion that cabañas are just situated along the northern tier of the RD is ridiculous. They occupy the entire nation here, and other countries as well, for more than usage by foreign traveling whore mongers.
Then again, ask them, and they will tell you that they keep these businesses afloat as well.

And nobody cares about them since they are not a problem.
They keep a low profile.
Exactly! That's why many people do their laundry there. Real estate, then construction , then deal with quick turn arounds, etc. Nice low profile and owners like it that way.

huh, Nobody said it was a problem. Its big business here. Many make a good living offering quickie rooms along with selling drinks to hourly customers. Its a great service and yes they are in every single town on this island

So what specifically is going on at Bourbon street currently that is prompting these comments about officials taking a more than cursory interest in the proceedings to the point that some conclude that the establishment may be shuttered. How is what's happen these days any different than what happened before? Is it just the new Covid restrictions that has resulted in increased scrutiny? Or is Bourbon street doing something different? Obviously I don't visit that establishment so I do not know what goes on there.

Then why bring it up? To show "it happens everywhere"? Of course it does and that is not the problem.
The problem is whore mongers in Sosua on the Internet, not cabanas throughout the country. By the way, I don't have a a problem with it, the government does.
