The definition of monger does not carry within it the implication of involvement with prostitutes. Adding the word whore in front of monger is a much needed clarification to those who allegedly can save Sosua.

If there are 500 whore mongers in Sosua, as someone above mentioned, spending a total of $750,000 US per month as another mentioned above, that would be a measly $50 a day per whore monger. At total that is currently about 43,500,000 pesos. 4,350 people could get 10,000 pesos per month if all of that money trickled down to them.

Let us say the mongers on average spent 4 times that amount, $200 each and every day year round, that would mean 17,400 people could eat rice and beans off that money. Yet there are 50,000 to 60,000 people in Sosua.

To save even a third of Sosua so they had enough money to just barely live at $10,000 RD per month, 500 mongers would have to spend $200 US daily every day of the year just so that 17,400 people could just barely survive. Surely there must be far more than only 500 wore mongers in Sosua year round?

Could those whore mongers save one part of Pedro Clisante with that money? Sure, no problem.
you know less about the gentleman that visit Sosua than you do bull dozers, loaders and excavators. The gentleman that visit Sosua spend way over 200 a day and never stay a month as they are replaced everyday (pre-covid) via new flights. 500 people?? more like 1500 people, from POP to Cab they travel to Sosua every night. Pumping money into the local economy. 50,000 to 60,000 thousand people in Sosua??, not by a long shot . Maybe if you count the area from the airport down to cab on both sides of the road.

I enjoy Sosua for sure. I drive over once a week, at least. No apologies! I mind my own business. I don't cast aspersions on men who stay in a dead end relationship with a woman for decades out of fear and because its a "routine". They pay their bills for decades cars, cloths, jewelry and a house and believe its true love. Different strokes! If one makes a decision is to stay with the same person and grow old together even when the woman changes over time becoming an angry demanding witch that has let her self go, have at it. Sosua offers a product and will in the foreseeable future. FYI even state side woman often "upgrade" after finding a gentleman with a personality, a good sense of humor and bigger cash.

It's obvious that you haven't been successful with relationships Big. I'm sorry for that, and it's too bad you haven't experienced the joy of sharing your life with a person who is "Your best friend". Having someone share your life that knows everything about you, does everything with you, and trusts you implicitly is a wonderful thing. I sincerely hope you are able to experience that in your lifetime.

BTW, what you say about dead end relationships, going for the bigger, better deal, is all very true. That exact thing happened to me in the states and is why I left in the mid 80's. Best move I ever made.

Sir as I have stated, for those that have found their soulmate godbless!! The angry slants that are directed at the gentleman that frequent Sosua and the community is bizarre considering what the town survives on.

You have every right and freedom to justify how you live your life, and your own pursuits, but please stop insulting true gentlemen of the world.
Gentlemen as defined: a chivalrous, courteous, or honorable man.
Not to be confused with the whore mongering types frequenting one street, within one corner, of one municipality seeking out diseased, drug addicted, alcoholic streetwalkers.

And please stop with your attitudes of superiority and hate dragged in the beautiful country of the 🇩🇴 from where ever you happen to be from. You state your opinions as if they are facts. I thought "ALL LIVES MATTER". Or only the ones you approve of❓

Prostitution is legal in the Dominican Republic. That remains a fact.

Thank you Sir. However I know what my rights are. Further more, if you think all the ladies in Sosua are drug addicted alcoholics, you dont know Sosua either. How about students, waitresses , store clerks, hotel workers, bartenders and teachers. I know what a gentleman is and its not a man that disparages a lady because she has limited opportunities.

your relentless disdain for men who frequent Sosua and the ladies is strange considering you live in the region. It also limits the people you can associate with if you choose to disparage them. When I go into Janets Supermarket for lunch guess where I have seen all the gentleman and ladies the night before. SOSUA!!
I do not have disdain for whore mongers. What two people do between themselves is up to them. I find them amusing because of their inflated self importance. And that is about it.

What the government thinks about them is another story most seem to miss.

"self importance" again I am confused. They come to Sosua for vacation and what it has to offer. Do people that visit Disney World have inflated self importance. You may want to make peace with the future of Sosua as it is not going anywhere except for a few cosmetic changes.

I know not ALL women from or in Sosua are diseased, drug addicted, alcoholic streetwalkers, but the ones that whore mongers for the most part pursue/prefer are.
I don't think that the students, waitresses, store clerks, hotel workers, bartenders and teachers you refer to would like to be grouped together with the streetwalkers, but all too often whore mongers can't tell the difference.

I don't want to make Sosua "anything". What the government wants to do, and what the owners of properties there want to do will determine that outcome.

People who are whore mongers that refer to themselves as gentlemen. That is how whore mongers amuse me. Fascinating how the urban dictionary morphed that definition.

Much of the direction of this thread was set by whore mongers pointing out how Sosua would vaporize without them. I pointed out how that is simply is not true, save for one part of Sosua. That is how whore mongers have an inflated self importance.

Just wondering.. Is "Sex Tourist " or "man that cant get any at home and has to travel and pay for it" acceptable? How about "Old pervert that wants to relive his adolescence"?? I'm not a politically correct person, and want to make sure I know what is an acceptable label for old guys looking to pay young girls for sex in a third world country to make them feel like a stud again..
Most men don't like having sex with old wrinkled women.
They prefer a hot young piece of ass. I have zero problem
with old men banging hot young prostitutes anywhere they
choose. I have a problem with loud obnoxious idiots talking
about it while I'm trying to enjoy a good meal.

All of that area does count when it comes to Sosua. Yes, that is what the census says there are in the Municipio of Sosua. I point this out every time someone focuses in on one section of Pedro Clisante as being "Sosua".

Remember I asked the question of how many whore mongers are there in Sosua per day?
Ah, now it is 1,500 whore mongers. That is three times the number someone else proposed. Is that day in and day out every day of the year?

If they spend way over $200 per day (an already somewhat impressive $6,000 per month rate) , how much do they spend daily and what is it they are spending that on? Perhaps such an answer cannot be put on DR1..

The ones from Canada are frequently referred to as "whales" (ballenas). How is that for a light "touch"?

Many of the Canadians do like to SPEND and Over Pay like Drunken Sailors , I will give you that ..

I did NOT say that .... your reading comprehension is extremely POOR Sir .. and Im not going to quote myself to clear it up either.

maybe u should take the time to actually READ other Peoples Posts , and try to digest it , before Re Posting it all upside down and Backwards ..
and you went into such great DETAIL , with your fake info.

well we will just disagree and leave it at that. I agree with many of your posts in other threads just not this one. A man that is angry at men who pay for companionship in Sosua and infers that he is less of a gentleman should make sure he lives at the foot of the cross.

there is a whole different world out there. Not everyone that visits Sosua spends the night in Sosua, and not every man that visits Sosua hangs out on Pedro C ,quite the contrary. Many men that visit have money to spend and I dont mean 1 or 2 hundred a night.

If Prostitution is legal. How to you clean up a legal business ❓

I do not agree with the opinions of many of the closed minded that I have read in this thread. I happen to be open minded.

A husband just puts his wife on retainer. It is about access. Sometimes access gets denied. And they are still under contract. Sometimes access is given to others when the husband thought they had exclusive access. That is the worst deal of all. Someone else get to enjoy what they are maintaining. You cannot own anyone legally anymore. So every female grants access on her terms. How about that for some reality?

Prostitution in general is no different from marriage. Only the amount of time access is granted and the type of contract involved.

There are a lot of dirty dangerous businesses out there that we all benefit from. Anyone been in a coal mine lately? But yet somehow that is ok and considered honorable work.

The question for me is does Sosua even need to be cleaned up and why❓If it does, to the benefit of whom❓

When in doubt, follow the money.

Because: Ella "no paga renta con palabras" - Becky G

I agree with this Post 100% ...
Ladies ,. DENY YOUR MAN ACCESS, for no good reason, and watch what happens next ..
Most women dont understand or cant face this simple fact of life.. they rather live with their head in the sand .
And sorry to say many men dont have the BALLS to say it out loud .
Lots of Soy boys , with no spine ..
... if you live in fear like that as a married man , I feel so so sorry for you, cuz you a punk.
