Those who support the implementation of a QR code always make me laugh, because you guys just can't think into the future and even imagine what kind of world that would necessarily lead to.

Do yu guys even understand the ramifications of a digital identification system? and the infinite amount of personal data that can be added into it? And with such unlimited, easy access to your personal data by a third-party, the infinite amount of restrictions, and especially restrictions of movement, a government could impose on its citizens?

What if one day, you wake up and realize that your digital "vaccine pass" that you've been using for years to access restaurants and such, has now been extended to include your traffic ticket fines? Your credit card debts? Your tax records?

So now all of a sudden, after your 5th dose taken (because you thought getting that jab every 6 months would give you "freedom"), you STILL can't get into restaurants or travel because :

1) you owe money to the bank with that credit card you never paid off in full

2) or you haven't paid your traffic tickets

3) or your bank records show that you've been buying too much meat at your favorite butcher's shop ("meat is bad for the planet" and your high meat consumption obviously worsens global warming).

And for any of these reasons, your Digital ID (formally your "vaccine passport" but now with a more general term, as it really includes all your personal identification data) has been DEACTIVATED, and won't be reactivated until you pay your fines/debts in full and improve your eating behavior.

How's that for a QR code? Still like that idea?

Hahaha. I wish as naive as some of these posters advocating for a digital vaccine pass, obviously they don't know what they are wishing for.

I saw a short video clip of how it works. It was in some European country. The customers just showed the QRC code on their phone to an employee as they walked in. He just pointed his smartphone at the QRC code. It only took a couple seconds. Very simple really. QRC scanner apps are widely available for Apple and Android phones.
I don't have a phone. I do but it's so old and I don't take it out of the house on walks. Even if I had a good phone I wouldn't take it out in the barrio. So I would have to do paper.

Well we are only one week away from the great vax card requirement - It will be interesting to see what reports we get when that day comes.
Let's hope the moderators don't close this thread because it will be a good means of identifying supermarkets, restaurants and bars to avoid, whether you will only patronize places that require the vax IDs or you prefer to go to freely open establishments.

And it should be a good source for chuckles.

NO, but you did choose to be VACCINATED. So why all the crying............................
I did choose jabs, yes ( look at the the key word ) and thanks of for the opening.

Choice is something that should be tantamount to everything we do in our lives.
If I chose to jump out of plane to sky dive (which I did) then that does not mean it should be someone else's choice. Access your own level of risk.

If the vaccines actually work (a lot of doubt) - then those vaccinated should go about their lives without worry. And please don't start saying these vaccines were only designed to make people less sick not prevent catching the virus, because that is pure poppycock.

Now the evidence is coming in that the vaccines may actually increase the Covid infection rates, particularly for Delta

At a restaurant yesterday I asked what they would do come October 18, the server said they didn't know because so many people were not vaccinated.

Meanwhile in a year or two we will know how long one vaccine lasts:

Here's one study and there are others out of the UK and others. Just read the news sites
Moderna has already been prevented from use in 4 countries due to adverse heart issues.
We are just beginning to learn the full ramifications of mRNA injections.
But you and Sky keep cheerleafing the vaccines - and they may be beneficial but don't pretend they are safe for everyone

This is bad considering we've had Covid, have the antibodies to prove it, and our natural immunity is much stronger (proven statistically around the world) and the vaccine will destroy that immunity and may even be harmful to us. Besides the fact if you take the right vitamins and such and boost your immune system you're better off across the board.
I suppose if we got the Sinovac vaccine it may not be as bad, but the Pfizer shot is not a vaccine and would surely destroy our natural immunity.
It is true that the visit by Samantha Power swung a bludgeon on the DR government. The US is going down the wrong road on these mandates. Didn't think we' would see the stupidity here. (Or maybe should have expected it)

I thought it was with very short notice. I wonder why the rush. They could have decided on from 1 of December for instance. Yes it’s typical. First the law. Then they try and find out how to implement it and realize it’s not practical and has several unintended consequences.
Why the rush?
Samantha Power was just in town.
Do you read the local news?

Moderna was not prevented it was stopped for those under 30 by abundance of caution.. why did you get jab? It does nothing according to you? No one said it safe for everyone nothing is..your article is from April and says may and doesn’t include Delta as you specified..

In most cases, people with myocarditis recover without any complications, but in some rare and more severe cases, there can be damage to the heart.

Myocarditis was most likely to develop in younger men and boys after receiving their second dose of the Moderna vaccine, according to Finland’s THL.
