Looks great - just what Las Terrenas needs, in my opinion. The only problem I see is that it's close to the sea for when the storms and beach erosion arrive.
LT is not SosuaWe barely know what's going on with the Sosua Beach reconstruction.
Renovated Fishermen’s Village in Las Terrenas to open in February

Las Terrenas, Samaná.- The Minister of Tourism, David Collado, announced that the renovated Pueblo de los Pescadores in Las Terrenas, Samaná, will be inaugurated between February 15 and 20. In a social media post, Collado emphasized that the project will mark a significant transformation for the area.
The tourist zone was devastated by a fire in September 2021 that destroyed 16 businesses. The renovation includes a state-of-the-art fire-fighting system to ensure the safety of merchants, visitors, and the community. Collado and his team inspected the site to ensure the project meets the expectations of Las Terrenas’ tourism sector.
Collado described the renovation as a commitment to the future of tourism and the well-being of the local community, reiterating his excitement for the February unveiling of the new Fishermen’s Village.

I think the perspective makes it look like photoshopped but there is a rooftop pool and the angle of the shot makes it difficult to see that it is not flat. Not sure about the two chaises though. This is the building opposite to Residencial Don Cesar. That said, it does look like they made it look too 'clean'I just realized this was photo-shopped. The pool across the street is actually a condo building with parking.
You can also tell by the 2 fake chaises in the photo.
Why would they do this?
Thank you for the photos, looks much nicer than last year. The existence of a sidewalk would make my life (as a pedestrian) safer ! It was risky walking from C. Italia to get coffee/breakfast in the morning at Puerto Plaza etc last summer as the beach side was full of construction materials and the opposite side did not have sidewalks always.
Virtually no progress there. Dead in the "sand" at this time.We barely know what's going on with the Sosua Beach reconstruction.

Looking forward to visiting soon.
Nice !BOTH sides of the street going to/from Calle Italia to Puerto Palza now have pavers to walk on!
