1.) is Santo Domingo the best choice?

Santo Domingo is a great choice. Nightlife, the Zona Colonial, the Malecon-you will enjoy it very much.

2.) is the hotel a good choice (I plan on paying and extra $55 a day for my guests to eat and party)?

I am not a fan of all-inclusive hotels, and the extra money you are paying can go to other things. But if this is your first time and you do not speak any spanish the all-inclusive may be your best bet.

You could try the Casona Dorada. They are a nice hotel, great location and they have hosted parties for single foreign men and dominican women in the past.

3.) I hope to bring "the one" back to the united states in t he near future what should I do know to be prepared?

It will take about three years, and thats' if you do all the paperwork in a timely fashion. Plus all of the fees and the paperwork that your wife needs to fill out-you can go to Dominicans to the USA - Index.

This is the best website for you to navigate the maze of paperwork and the interview process. All your questions about the process will be answered for you there.

4.) I'm shelling out $400 for an electronic dictionary that speaks 14,000 phrases spanish to english and vice versa, is it worth it?

Any little thing helps. Spanish lessons would be better and I'm sure cheaper, but if you feel it will come in handy then by all means.

5.)the, webiste latinas in love, wants to charge me $100 per girl for an introduction and that doesn't even include the cost to get them to me, do you know of a good translator or sevice I can pay for several hours of translation?

You can use their services a little better if you ask me. They sponsor get-togethers where you pay a fee and you meet at a particular place(usually a large hotel) and they have women bused in so that everyone can see each other in person and talk. Look into this. I'm surprised you haven't already. It would be the best and easiest way for you right now.

6.) How much should it cost me to have the girl(s) picked up and brought to see me and can you recommend a service? I don't want to send the girls any money, should I ride with the driver to each city?

The chicas know how to travel around. They can get to you no problem from San Juan De La Maguana relatively inexpensively. If you hire a driver or pay for a taxi that is too expensive.

7.) Is the night live roughly the same in each city? (of course not!)

No. Santo Domingo is your best bet for nightlife, as opposed to some out of the way campo.

8.) Anything you want to add!!

Good luck!!! :cheeky:

I can't believe that there are men like this out there. He can't find a woman in his own country, but will pay $$$$$$ for low life women in the DR. He must be a great catch. NOT !!!!!

heck i pay for low life women in the US too :paranoid:

I appreciate the good humor of Kyle and bronxboyat heart, and berzin has once again offered some straight forward advice, with no moralizing, so the following comments are not directed toward them.

Look, everyone pays for a relationship, one way or the other. If one's sensitivities are soothed by calling it courtship, or an engagement, that's okay, but there are some who prefer a more direct, and maybe even a more honest, route to relationship. In any case, money, gifts, services, etc are regularly exchanged in the process of striking a deal.

Those who quickly pass judgement on others tend to dress up their own transactions with appropriate vernacular and euphemisms. But however one chooses to label it, people pay for sex, plain and simple.

So, now the usual band of opinionated self-servers jump in to denegrate someone who came to this board seeking some advice. Hey, good going guys. One more person alienated with nothing productive accomplished.

AZB wants to help him, to perpetuate the myth that "stereotypical" tourists are cloned to a "T".... and are programed just as he describes...every last one of them...

Bob, the OP is not a tourist in the same way others are. He is going to the DR in search of a mail-order bride.

So his agenda is going to be different than say yours or mine.

But I am thinking this guy MAY very well be a sock puppet, because the good people over at latinas in love(if this is the website he has been using) could of answered these very basic questions for him and would of more than happily assisted in arranging accommodations with hotels and the transportation of the chicas to where he is.

They do have their own chat forums, so maybe he is pulling everyones' leg.

Well, your scenario certainly is not the way to meet quality dominican women, but some guys are happy doing it that way. To each his own regardless of what anyone else says.

For some guys, "Hell ain't a bad place to be*", you know what I'm sayin' Bob?

Now if he wants to take a different approach, we are here to help. But he will have to tell us what he is looking for.

I caught it, Bob. I haven't lost my sense of humor!!! :cheeky:

I just wanted to put out a certain response to see if our esteemed OP would come back and discuss the merits/detriments of his modus operandi.

I guess not...:surprised

I would be honored to be McCains VP.

Anyone on this site endorsing this methood of meeting Dominican women are nuts.

Have a good vacation and be carefull.

And WUD, i know of many chicas that play the latinlovers game. Funny how a woman gets ripped for banging a sankie but some dude looking for love and paying big bucks gets kid gloves.

I may be a gringo and only live in the Dr 2 months out of the year so i will back down and let his chicas play the long game.

I dont necessarily agree witht the way in which jumbo answered originally but i do agree that if a woman had posted anything like this thread she would be ripped apart and she would probably at least be coming here to "Be with someone" she had met previously. I am not knocking what your doing just noticing the way in which some reply to such a thread that would be the first to seriously bash a woman. Just interesting i thought...mmmmm. No doubt i will now be publicly flogged for even daring to write that ha ha!

As for your internet introduction, forget it girls or possibly women will be throwing themselves out you if your wallet is big enough. And dont expect to find "the one" at some kind of escort agency (to put it politley). Expect to have a great time, Be waited on hand and foot, get a tan etc. Hope you have a great vacation!

Yes, i do need a court ordered Internet anger management writing program and hopefully someone will PM me a link for one. I was not going to revisit this thread for the OP contacted me and i believe he gets where i am coming from. BUT: Here is a great example of the marriage for visa. The timing is incredible!!!!!!!!

Have been trying to help a 36yr old woman in Santiago get her PR husbands death certificate so she can remarry. All i had was his name and a place he lived when she married him 16 years ago. After 8 years of marriage he dropped dead leaving her with a passport and no visa. Finally she got a copy of the marriage cert. today. This is a classic: his DOB is January 27,1918. This dude was 74 and she was 20 when married. Must have been love!!!!!!!!!

Keep a Cyanide pill handy.

His user name is Chuckwindy
That's Chuckuindy when he has a bad case of the farts?

you dont need $100 to be introduced to a girl - they will introduce themselves - even if you dont want one lol
So true.

I appreciate your position, however dark, tigh and smelly it may be. {Head in ass}
Nice talk.

Guess i need anger management writing class.
Writing?
Heard of anger management classes, but what's with the writing?

i know some guys in USA who have not had sex with a woman in 3 plus years.
They're called gay.

If this is the case....why not take your Lazy ass to spanish class and get some lessons???
You tell him, girl.

Too much information.

Perspicacious and realistic.

Americans marry Canadians all the time- for healthcare! I'd do it in a heartbeat if it would save a life!
