Ive seen a few of the VW Touareg Diesel for sale in DR at pretty reasonable prices. Anyone own one or have past experience with one? Would this be a "good" pruchase? Please advise.

Hi all, I'm thinking of selling my yipeta here in Santo Domingo - 2001 Toyota Surf, 4x4, 3litre turbodiesel (a japan market 4Runner in diesel)

I am interested in getting one of these, but for the life of me I cant find any details about the engine or transmission on Wikipedia. Anyone know the engine/transmission model #'s and the specs? Also does anyone know where I can just buy a used engine from this vehicle? (6 cylinder turbodiesel)

Anyone knows how much is a 2012 Audi A8L, brand new ?
Hard to find price on local web and Avelino Abreu is kind of secretive.

Seeking used car on the North Coast- need reliable mechanic to check it out!

Hi everyone! I'm looking to buy a used car in the Cabarete/Sosua area. Does anyone know a reliable mechanic to take a look at something before I buy?

Any opinions of the Skoda Fabia 2004. Would it be easy to find parts of needed?

Thanks!

I am looking for a mini SUV like the Daihatsu Terios for a second car. Preferable something with locking center diff, etc for the campo roads. I have a budget of about US 22K from the sale of my car in the USA.

I ran into something called a Renault Duster that may fit but AFAIK all french makers have bad reliability. I'd like to find out what the price is on a new Toyota Rush/Daihatsu Terios here. Who is it that sells Daihatsu in Santiago?

I found out the Terios is no longer sold here and the Duster is not available in 4x4 so I am not sure what I am going to buy.

I read there is a 4x4 Duster made in Colombia but who knows if a dealership can get that to the DR without paying ridiculous taxes.

Not really the $22k is from selling the car that I left in the USA.

Why are you counting other people's money, if he can afford to have two cars good for him!

I decided to buy used since this will be my wife's first car after learning to drive. I hope I can find a used car that is not an accident, lemon, salvage or odo rollback. That is going to be like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Do NOT buy an American import - Capital "T" Trouble

Find an RD vehiculo with a bona fide history....
all the records are here and less problems.

I was surprised how easy it was.

Not a needle in a haystack.... just do your homework.
