You do not need to rent a Pasola, buy second hand 125cc 2009-2010 model, good condition, RD12,000 - RD15,000.
Or you can go to any large supermarket and find Promotional offers (Jumbo have this right now) on the likes of Yamaha 100-125 standard street bikes (conch bikes). Buy new for RD36,000, various deal, initial and monthly plan.

You don't rent long term on bikes.

Pasola? I thought that was a hand held scale, like a few friends used in High School to sell a little weed?

and its RD$180 for regular!!

dont worry though, here in the states its about $3.65 on average, we aren't to far behind.

it is $4.5 in Alaska

It is at an all-time high and the funny thing is that I dont know how they justify these prices especially since the barrel of crude oil is only going for $108 dollars unlike the last time when fuel went up at the pump in which the barrel of crude went up to almost USD$ 250.00

War is a business, isnt it good for the bottom line?

the bottom line is usually the one sent to the front line.
they never got anything out of beeing in the front line,
as the medals are usually handed out to their relatives.

the fuels??
been fueling a 187 Gallons premium Diesel at Cap Cana Marina today to lil Gladiator,
US$5.11.- per gallon, counting US-Gallons.
but Hey,
the Fishies been worth it.

cheers

Where you been Mike? I think it is the poorest ones being sent to the front line. It is mid-April and fuel is $4.07 here. What happens the travel season at the end of May if fuel keeps going up? I think $4 was the limit but $5? I dont know.

we always set Limits, say "if it reach's this or that point we are on the Max and can not move further, but those Limits been always passed and we always moved on. here at the Marina Fueling Stations we already passed the $5.- Limit, and we will move on. the same for the Travel Industry, People will not stop to Travel, Cry out loud about higher rates/Fuel Surcharges etc, YES, but they will not stop to Travel. as Fact every Year there are more People Travelling abroad/Long Distance etc, every year more, even during World Economy LowPoints etc.

ha ha ha, I can't read Yanadu's Postings since a longer while as I blocked them.
not a bad Idea Fuelcost wise, but those Sailors have other high Maintenance Costs and they do not move quick enough to chase those Big Fishy Predators down, lol.
btw, the Fuel Costs for Diesel are Not the Biggest Expoense when running Offshore Yachts, the Big expense is the Transportation to bring Guests from the Large PC Area to the Boats, Transportation/maintenance/purchases/Insurances/Permits etc for those Vehicles are the Big Cost Factor, and Yes, with Higher Fuel Costs those Transfer costs sure will not go anywhere Lower.

a Aluminium Door should be done with a few thousand Pesos, real Price depends on how Thick You want to have that Door.
Inverters for a normal household cost You depending on required KW Powers all the way between 15-40.000.- Pesos including Installation and cables/Materials etc.

Fuel going up could reduce fuel consumption. This would be good.

Well I've found another way to save money; eat the local hotdogs. :) Previously I couldn't stand them because of the taste and they were always so dry but I found some, Emilios, that say they are all pork hotdogs and they are decent as long as you boil them. Enjoy!

Why? It's all protein in the end and besides it's cooked to death anyway.
