Both of you love to talk out of the rear end, when it suits you...

Tell me one Mall that's built with public funds in the DR or USA or EU for that matter?

Where do you geniuses make the connection that somehow a private investor will fund public infrastructure to give services for free to the poor?

Name one such investor in the money making biz where you come from! Apart from the same donations, NGOs and do-gooders, there's no such thing.

Here again it seems that the so called "high" quality education you so much push about where you came from, failed miserably in both cases as per your posts.

You simply lack the basic of anything to bring about any comparison between a private investment and public infrastructure as posted.

You come across each time as a pair of fools with nothing intelligent to add in all your debates as posted in these instances.

Hey! Maybe you should join Chavez's socialism (or whatever crazy stuff he calls it today) in Venezuela! He's good at doing stuff you seem to make logic about as per your posts!

Like Mr. T would say: Foo!

I agree with donP, Ringo and windeguy but as PICHARDO points out, what's the difference with the rest of the world. Obviously we all have our priorities wrong but who of us decides to not eat any churrasco anymore to give that money to a beggar in the streets?

La envidia no mata hijo, pero mooooooortifiiiiiiiiiiiiica!

This is a pair of malcontents, that believe their own juice of BS...

Each time they are challenged to put up, they go clowns.

I'm used to their chants and moronic ways! There's nothing more they can add of value or real basis onto which one can find an iota to debate at all. It's just as you see, Batata talk...

As usual speaking of the US when this is the DR.

As usual talking Batata about something you lack anything of substance to even debate on!

Or... Where exactly in the world (never mind the US or EU) they have a Mall with an orphanage, soup kitchen for the poor, free clinics for the ones that can't afford private care, etc...????

I'm still waiting on your response! Since as your posts suggests and you support your ADIDAS partners, these type of private investments are what they are for where you come from unlike for the stupid and ignorant Dominicans...

Care to "educate" me on this?

I have enough to eat. I have all I need and will ever need. My children and thier children will have ... enough.

I guess that turning 60 years and realizing... knowing... (dang that hurt) that I can not "take it with me" I look to where and what I can do a little good. My lifestyle will not change BUT .... IF .... IF I can find a cause, a reason, a good and honest effort, (I've found many that disappointed... lot's of times) then maybe I can perhaps help in a very small way.

I'm here in my home, the Dominican Republic. I did and still do things in my home Country. But I live here now and over the years my priorities have changed too. They will again.

But this is here and now. I'm sorry if my bashing Pichardos Malls and Great new D.R. bothers anyone.

But I can not be sorry for HIS Malls and Great new D.R. bothering me. Nor can I understand them... at all.

Priorities? A very strong word. Worth thinking about it's meaning.

You know, people should know when to pick the correct words and basics to make their points on a subject, which clearly this one is light years away from ANY of the same subjects each of you has tried to make a case for...

A Mall is a private biz investment, a hospital for the population for free, is a state funded entity...

Where exactly did the educational system of your superior and super duper smart first world nations went so terrible wrong, that you can't grasp the most basic or basic to make your case here?

I'm still waiting all this time, for a least one intelligent remark or at least valid issue onto which debate for this thread's subject, which is not a Hospital btw, or an orphanage, or a soup kitchen, or whatever your imagination went to lunch today...

Show me the results of that superior quality education, you so much tout around here in Dr1. Mine at least is Dominican and of poor quality, but for the looks so far... Wow!

So... When your baby got sick, you took it to the nearest MALL for care back in your developed and smart country?

??????????

???????????

????????????

?????????????

I never had any part in the creation of a baby. So I had no need to take a baby anywhere, ever.

Oh! I only took it as point of reference as your post indicate such:

Well, not really.
But I am sure those super malls have funeral parlours, don't they? :cross-eye

donP

They must. One stop shopping for all your needs.

You see, Malls here in the DR don't include all that stuff as yours where you come from, so I made it a point to let you know we don't compare to yours back home that have it all!

Or where you talking about a have it all Mall in Mars maybe?

I don't know since you're the one making the point between the Mall and the babies here...

Can you elaborate on this?

There are more private hospitals in the US than there are public hospitals. Educate yourself on that fact.

Where exactly did the educational system of your superior and super duper smart first world nations went so terrible wrong, that you can't grasp the most basic or basic to make your case here?

I do understand supply and demand. The people building shopping malls here do not seem to understand that. But time will tell after we revisit how many malls are doing well in the upcoming years. In the US, not that it is relevant here, many people do not shop in malls, but rather they shop on line. I have found that 90 percent of the time it is more cost effective to import an item than it is to purchase it here. I live in the DR and I can import quantity ONE cheaper than I can buy it in the mall. I suggest that if the Dominican population were aware of this, the mall building would be slowed to a crawl if not stopped entirely. But that would require the Dominican population to be educated on how to make the best deal in today's world economy. They do not currently have that knowledge.

I'm still waiting all this time, for a least one intelligent remark or at least valid issue onto which debate for this thread's subject, which is not a Hospital btw, or an orphanage, or a soup kitchen, or whatever your imagination went to lunch today...

I am a free market capitalist and a libertarian. I applaud anyone that starts a business. I hope that all of the malls that are in the DR succeed, but I suspect they are dinosaurs that will not.

So that's your intelligent answer, as for your posts???

So where's exactly the connection you wanted to make then?

Elaborate please!

I understand that since this an English language forum you don't understand the irony and the satire being made regarding the asinine number of pictures you post for the shopping malls being built here. Post a link to those pictures and not the dozens of pictures in line in the forum if you can figure out how to do that.

As I mentioned before, on line shopping is the new paradigm. But I suppose you have not yet heard of Ebay and Amazon.com?

There are far more private hospitals and health centers in the DR than there are public Hospitals, educate yourself on that fact!

I do understand supply and demand. The people building shopping malls here do not seem to understand that.

Oh! So they don't understand supply and demand as you do, since they are far more ignorant than you, based on your superior education?

That makes sense! I heard only stupid, ignorant people make millions they can invest and like fools, lose it all quick in the DR. You know it's the pattern of the middle and upper classes of the DR!

I tell them t go to your US based schools before they lose their millions for being too ignorant o the supply/demand thingy!

But time will tell after we revisit how many malls are doing well in the upcoming years.

Ah! Let's see:

How many Malls have shut down in the DR since built?

???? ????? ????? ????????? ???????? ???????????

Sorry! I'm too ignorant about supply and demand, but I think, just think! I have yet to see or hear of the first one closing their doors for lack of biz as of yet (don't take my word for it, since I'm an ignorant Dominican while at it).

In the US, not that it is relevant here, many people do not shop in malls, but rather they shop on line.

Ahhhhhh! So IN THE USA people mostly shop online, rather than in Malls? Wow!
So? Where exactly that links to the DR. I mean we're talking about the DR wasn't it?

I'm confused now!?! Or are we comparing to the USA here?!?!?! Ah! That must be it!

Sorry! I'm kind of slow!

I have found that 90 percent of the time it is more cost effective to import an item than it is to purchase it here.

Imagine that! You a foreigner! Living in the DR finds it cheaper to import directly than buying it as the same place 90% of Dominicans MUST buy their stuff with their lower pesos wages! Boy!

I live in the DR and I can import quantity ONE cheaper than I can buy it in the mall.

So, since you can import cheaper than 90% of Dominicans, it's a God Blessing!

Poor Dominican folks! paying those rip off prices at the Malls~!

I suggest that if the Dominican population were aware of this, the mall building would be slowed to a crawl if not stopped entirely. But that would require the Dominican population to be educated on how to make the best deal in today's world economy. They do not currently have that knowledge.

Wait! Are you for real! So Dominicans are a bunch of fools for paying Mall prices!

Wait! Wait! Let me get this right! Dominicans are fools for not importing their stuff directly instead of buying at the Malls. So help me here a bit (I'm a bit slow on this! Sorry):

Back home in the USA Americans import most of their stuff directly home and also avoid paying those rip off online and Mall prices! Wow! That's a lot of goods on the mail directly to their homes from China!
Wow! Americans are really smart! I guess you're right, compared to how well educated in importing directly their goods from abroad Americans are, Dominicans have a light years to catch up to!

I am a free market capitalist and a libertarian. I applaud anyone that starts a business. I hope that all of the malls that are in the DR succeed, but I suspect they are dinosaurs that will not.

I guess you're right, given how many Malls have been shut down in the DR since forever... I mean there's one closed on every corner! All empty and losing bucks like crazy!

Have you been to Plaza Naco? Truly dead and on extinction like the dinosaurs...

If you don't want to see the many pictures, you can always choose NOT to see the thread! Others like them and love to be updated on how things are going around their hoods...

After all the thread is about the Mall, not the air or the hospitals, orphanages, water quality, etc...

But I'll be more than happy to engage in debate about the Mall, when it's the subject of the post and not about other stuff that you can as easy start a thread and invite me to debate about there!

You see! Nothing out of the world! Or is it?
