did it rain on the southshores somewhere?
heer on the east all was a full no show, during the day in the areas where i dove around several times, between veron, cap cana and cabeza de toro, not a drop all day til sunset long after the early morning shower.
the Center, located near our southshores, contains no significant rain nor winds, HB, your wish will not come true to fill the reservoirs, Gabrielle will stay a disapointment down there.
all day long a lot of rainloads stuck near our shores on the SE, coming closer little by little, but did not reach shore.
there is still a good amount of water out off our east and SE, it barely moves forward, i don't know if some will come in at some spots or not.
the heavy rainloads and thunderstorms of Gabrielle stayed separated from their surface low pressure center, stuck south and over Puerto Rico, moving very very slow WNW, those are the waterloads seen on the Radar near the SE shores of DR.
the tropical wave/area of disturbed weather NE of the Leeward Islands had the potential to become a TD itself, but windshear and proximityinteraction with Gabrielle's Stormies hindered development.
all that water is still stuck eastsoutheast of Hispaniola, not far away but barely coming closer.
it is the fuel for a Storm, but missing a Storm to fuel.
our dead calm wind starts to move a bit now on the East, NOT blowing, just starting to move a bit the all day long dead air, maybe a rainportion will come closer and pass by tonight.
the interaction between the 2 systems made all forecasts of the last couple days just wild guess's and gave the Models no chance to show anything reliable.
we def will not get a TS anywhere on the Isle, most of the Island will not get anything, maybe the SE'ern corner between PC and La Romana will get some water somewhere in that area, but impossible to tell.
the Fisherman is happy that Gabrielle came out an other of our numerous No Shows,
and is speechless about such nastyness of a Storm, making all predictions worthless, leaving me just watching the actual points and stopping to think about "what comes next", lol.
the Maps should continue to show those colorful dots all around, for each that goes away there will already be a next one in the make for the next 10-15 days to come.
if they all come out like Gabrielle, that's fine i guess.
