Steady light rain in Jarabacoa overnight, starting to rain a little harder but no wind yet. Still have time to go rescue some potted plants.

According to Mike, a third of the system already passed over Punta Cana, still, all services up. The East of Puerto Rico already starts to get normal daylight again.
Isaias is moving fast. Luckily.

The 11am track of NHC forecasters places Isaias' center at:

11am: 18.1N 68.9W 50 KT moving forward at 60 mph/ 96kmh

It is just east of Saona Island.

NHC forecasters expect that by 11pm (by the next 12 hours), the storm center should be near Guayubín, Villa Vásquez and Montecristi as it prepares to exit the DR via the northwest coast.

11pm: 19.7N 71.4W 45 KT moving at 50 mph/ 80 kmh

By tomorrow morning it will be in Atlantic waters to the north of the eastern tip of Cuba (Guantanamo).

21.4N 74.2W 50 KT 60 mph / 96 kmh

It is moving diagonally across the country. Remember it is a BIG storm. The westerly track to Pedernales and Barahona is no more, according to NHC that bases its forecasts on an average of the leading forecasts.

Before this is over, we could get as much as 3 inches of rain in Cabarete where it has drizzled and had up to moderate rain and with winds up to 35 Kt gusts.

Despite this being like a light thunderstorm thus far, Edenorte has had two power outages in the area, one at 2 AM and another at 10:40 AM.
Those transmission lines made of sugar are hard to maintain.
