Interesting i just got a WA text from a friend in Cap Haitien and they're getting it now too. I didn't know it had reached there already.

The rain started about 1 am this morning in Sosua.

According to meteorologist Jean Suriel the eye of the storm is over San Pedro de Macoris. However the capital and the southwest is bone dry with absolutely no wind.

A testament to how disorganized this storm is.

I think it depends on where you are in Santo Domingo. I was just on a video call to someone in the Colonial Zone and it is tipping it down there.

A second wave of gusts, heavier rains and t-storms off in the distance here in Sam. Very disorganized.
