i doubt if my son or my grandchildren will visit me in the DR ,even if I was ill . I live with cancer that I am currently keeping ahead of and I enjoy sex although well over 70 but it does sometimes leave me breathless with a very fast heart rate . Like zoomzx11. I hope I just dose off one day or night . I often have used cialis with absolutely no side effects except it seems to work for longer than advertised . I do not ever use a cabana nor drive after taking cialis ....so I hope I just will finish off peacefully and cause no one trouble nor mirth

Overheard somewhere:

Sometimes, when an "older" guy buys a new lawn mower, he is tempted to cut the grass more vigorously. Simply because it is new.

And that could lead to a heart attack. Because just having better equipment doesn't necessarily mean that he can cut it like he was 20 or 30 years younger.

Instead ... he should pace himself ... and do what he usually does. If he has already been doing a pretty good job with the old equipment, he will now do an outstanding job with the new one. Simply because it is new.

(I am just a few years shy of 70 myself. ;))

Those erectile dysfunction commercials are extremely misleading. They picture middle-aged men who are supposedly more robusto than they were in their 20's. This is what's leading the testosterone therapy charge.

I know some middle-aged cats who cycle and they cannot fathom the inevitable physical decline of aging, so they resort to taking steroids to unlock the fountain of youth, not realizing (or caring) that if they're out there trying to go faster than riders many years younger, the stress on their hearts will eventually cause problems despite one's apparent health.

I know someone who came back from the doctor (this was a few years ago) and he said his physician told him he had the body of a 23-year old. I said "No. You have the body of a 48-year old who happens to be in shape". The look on his face was priceless, disappointment and defiance at the same time. He kept running and cycling at the typical yuppie, A-type personality extreme, taking every challenge from younger athletes as a personal affront to his virility.

He's now on heart medication and his heart rate cannot rise above 120 bpm. He doesn't ride anymore because his ego won't let him enjoy the sport as a regular recreational cyclist. It's either ball-out or nothing.

We live in a society where entitlement rules the day, and age has become just another obstacle that can be overcome by pharmaceuticals.

This guy's mistake wasn't slamming a 19-year old. His mistake was trying to do it like someone much younger without heeding the limits of his physical limitations.

Major448 and Berzin, you guys are right on point. Some men do not want to admit that they are getting older. They try to do some of the same things with the same vigor as when they were younger.
Some women make the same mistake. I have former Dominican lovers constantly asking me to come and stay with them. They want to relive what we did in past.
I am honest. I try totell them that I am not the woman they met and loved 20 years ago. They are 20 years younger than me. At 40 I could keep up with them. There is not a chance in hell that I could do it now!

You have to take care of yourself. I know guys my age(51) who are in great shape, and guys who could have a heart attack or stroke any day. I'm in between, but one of my friends who's 55 just had a stroke and it was a wake up call that I need to be more proactive about my health. One of the reasons I want to move to the DR is I end up eating better, walking 3-5 miles a day, and swimming a couple times a week.

good old escandalo in santiago. a 59 year old man took a 19 year old gal to a cabana for a bit of rakata. both were married. to other people, of course. upon leaving the hotel the man started to sweat and drool, peed himself and then died. it is alleged that he took meds to help his soldier stand to attention.
El Caribe ? Hombre muere en motel tras tener relaciones sexuales con una joven

Poor bastard...but not a bad way to go!!!!!!!! Did the 4 hour erection concept do him in? Seriously though if you have blood pressure or heart problems it is not recommended you take a viagra type drug to enhance your manhood.

I am glad that we are on the subject of getting old and yet staying reasonably fit because I think that in this country it is harder than in others. The reasons are that you can go on long steady walks because the of the heat and because the food here is so fattening . The other reason is that most people who use these forums I imagine have at least a maid and even a cook as well . I go to the gym and do light weights on a regular basis , i use a walker and go at a fairly easy pace and keep away from bread, most fruits, nuts and rice . But still it is a battle to not put on the extra pounds .

There is another brown bread La Sirena (Molino del Sol, 6 cereales) sells for example (I eat it too instead of the white one) Fruits are best eaten not consumed as juice.

Sandia (Watermelon) for example even helps to lose fat among other benefits:

The poor guy in the cabana already had a bunch of underlying health problems, blocked arteries, heart disease, etc. If a man is in reasonably good physical condition sexual activity is not a significant stressor. The pills are just vasodilators and if anything will lower your bp. Risk is if you are already taking meds for hi blood pressure and you drop it too low. As we age the maximum heart rate attainable through exercise is less. The formula is 220 minus your age. You are 20 your max rate is 200. You are 70 your max is 130. Years of inactivity, obesity, coupled with high blood pressure are predictors of trouble around the corner. Strokes and heart attacks almost always have warning signs, chest pain, dizziness, out of breath climbing a few stairs, declines in strength and energy are trying to warn you. Kipling has got it going on. Exercise does not have to be an all out painful full on exertion. You start out slow, make it a habit and train via PROGRESSIVE resistance exercise. Ie, you add to the weight as you become stronger, add to the pace as you achieve some cardiac fitness. Pretty soon you are really moving along and its pretty pleasant. What a nice feeling leaving the gym with a spring in your step. Your age does not matter one bit and its never to late to get started. Not sure what your are doing spend a few on a personal trainer. It helps get you started but you will not need them for very long.

As for the Eva Mendes lookalike DRob mentioned in a previous post, that usually ain't the case for our DR1 brethren. A dusty barrio slut with exhaust fume markings on her legs from a motoconcho is as lucky as they'll get.

We're talking about the kind of people who die banging a scarecrow, a blowup doll or slamming a vibrator down their ass. Why would they really care if they get a ho with exhaust fume markings from a motoconcho? LOL

OK, I'm coming out of the closet.........

I may have posted this before but I use the 'Senior'Sticks'.... Nordic walking poles.

Ups your rates by 40% and offers some upper body exercise.
Might look a bit goofy but you'll feel the difference.

I do about 40-50 minutes of very fast walking about 4 times a week - plus regular bedroom workouts whenever Im afforded an opportunity:nervous:

This is why people should never post pictures of themself on line.

I now have an image of WW Nordic Pole walking in a tuxedo stuck in my head.

Hahaha.....

very funny.... I look stupid enough with those poles - don't need to 'overdress' for it.!!

I wear a monocle though................

A friend of my father's was an Olympic gold medal sprinter

Another friend took up jogging and running later in life and got carried away with his assumed skills.
At a Black Tie dinner one night, he challenged the Olympian to a race around the parking lot.

Challenge accepted - newbie went to change into his gear.
Olympian had an apertif.

They're off..... Big guy waxes newbie - running in his tuxedo, no less.... tie on.

Rechallenge, but needs a handicap.
Big guy wins again - this time with a cigar in mouth.

Before its over, newbie is getting spotted half the distance
Big guy removes bow tie and clocks him again.

Newbie still cries foul...... contest over

Back to the bar boys.......

True story......https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_McFarlane

Imagine challenging this guy ........... talk about hubrus

You dug up a three year old thread to take about another man's wood?

I just heard that a man is buying a house on our street. He is 60 and his pregnant girl friend is 19. Hoping the same does not pass that transpired three years ago.
