Although I respect individual freedoms to chose what you do to and with your body the world has changed. Unless the unvaccinated want to sit alone in their own little world complaining about it, they need to get vaccinated.

I was against the vaccine originally, but then science (not fear or innuendos) proved without a doubt that they are working. To date I have had 4 vaccine shots. I'm still walking upright, nothing fell off or quit working, my intelligence has not dwindled, and I have not turned into a zombie so I think I'm good. I am also at that point in my life where I want to see and explore a lot more of the world. I can't do that without a vaccine.

The right to health

The United States owes its existence as a nation partly to an immunization mandate.
In 1777, smallpox was a big enough problem for the bedraggled American army that George Washington thought it could jeopardize the Revolution. An outbreak had already led to one American defeat, at the Battle of Quebec. To prevent more, Washington ordered immunizations — done quietly, so the British would not hear how many Americans were sick — for all troops who had not yet had the virus.
It worked. The number of smallpox cases plummeted, and Washington’s army survived a war of attrition against the world’s most powerful country. The immunization mandate, as Ron Chernow wrote in his 2010 Pulitzer Prize-winning biography of Washington, “was as important as any military measure Washington adopted during the war.”
In the decades that followed, immunization treatments became safer (the Revolutionary War method killed 2 percent or 3 percent of recipients), and mandates became more common, in the military and beyond. They also tended to generate hostility from a small minority of Americans.
A Cambridge, Mass., pastor took his opposition to a smallpox vaccine all the way to the Supreme Court in 1905, before losing. Fifty years later, while most Americans were celebrating the start of a mass vaccination campaign against polio, there were still some dissenters. A United Press wire-service article that ran in newspapers across the country on April 13, 1955, reported:
Hundreds of doctors and registered nurses stood ready to begin the stupendous task of inoculating the millions of children throughout the country.
Some hitches developed, however. In Maryland’s Montgomery County, 4,000 parents flatly refused to let their youngsters receive the vaccine. Two counties in Indiana objected that the plan smacked of socialized medicine.

So is it every 6 months we have to get vaccinated?
That’s not the current Covid vaccination protocol in Canada and the US as I understand it. Get shot one, wait at least three months for shot two to ensure maximum efficacy, get the same second shot again or go with a different vaccine, to ensure maximum efficacy according to current research.

Getting approved list shots if you have shots not approved by most countries is optional. If you do, the same protocol applies. Get the first, then wait at least three months and get the second to ensure maximum efficacy.

The booster shot info is confusing. The WHO says wait until more people worldwide are vaccinated first. The CDC has approved boosters for those who are immunocompromised and those in senior care homes. Canada has done the same. Not available to the general public except in countries like Israel at this point.

I will be getting a Drs. note to get the booster because the efficacy of my two Pfizer shots is in question. That plus my age of 72, and a small amount of diminished breathing capacity should get me in the lineup for a Pfizer booster. I’m
not heading to the DR till I get it.

That my personal approach. Consult with a Dr. or health official to determine what’s best for you. Safe travels.

Yes, seems that way .
in order to keep OTHERS safe ,
because catching Covid from an Unvaccinated person is dangerous , catching it from a Vaccinated person, is perfectly fine ..

this seems to make sense to them.
I only did one Sinovac and soon 6 months ago so I can go ahead and do two Pfizer now.

Not a thing. I suspect you are a grown up that can make his or her own decisions and are happy to live with your choices.
According to science, I am protected from Covid by getting vaccinated and can enjoy travel, restaurants ,movies, and a host of other venues where thank goodness you can't.
Enjoy your choices, as pro choice is the way to go.

I had Covid , when it was actually scary.. about a dozen of us in my group had it in March '20 .
We survived it ... one day Covid will test what YOU are made of .. Hopefully your Vaccine does exactly what its designed to do and what you believe it will do
I applaud you for being happy with your decision..
and Yes I am good with mine .. 1.5 years and counting .. exposed to Covid MULTIPLE times since then .. including the Delta Variant as well ..
so far so good .
yes , enjoying MY choice .

That's great. I also had Covid in late February of 2020. Caught it on a cruise ship coming into La Romana. Basically it was like a really bad flu. About all I did was drink ice water all day and then switched to ice rum in the evening. 10 days of doing nothing.

All I can say is that 80% of the new cases are from the 20% that are not vaccinated. If they are waiting for herd immunity they just might become another corpse that is helping to thin the herd.

What is a secret handshake club. I hope your tin foil hat isn't letting radioactive waves in lol

Normally I don't respond to the overally negative conspiracy folks but it's Saturday afternoon and I'm kinda bored so what the hell.

If you want proof that 80% of the new Covid cases are from the 20 to 25% unvaccinated pick up a newspaper or turn on ay newscast from the US or Canada. Or is every news outlet wrong and against you too.

The cruise my wife and I took left La Romana at the end of February 2020, did a 7 night Caribbean cruise and returned on around the 2nd or 3rd of March 2020. We where denied entry into our first port which I believe was Antigua but could be mistaken. We were denied as several people on board had tested positive for Covid. The Cruise line was Costa Cruise. Look it up they plan to set sail again later this year or early next year from La Romana. Go figure.

Yes I tested positive when we returned.

We also plan to take cruise ships again in the future. Currently we are booked on a trans Atlantic leaving Florida in April 2022. Normally I would extend a
invitation for you to see what fun can be had, if you believe in science, but we have discuss that already and you prefer to be on the outside looking in.

Seeing as you still haven't explained the secret hand shake thing to me I hope a smiley face works.;)🤨🚢

My wife and I took the new years cruise from La Romans with the costa line. Either the cruise you took or the next one ended up with 50 infected doctors from Santiago, several of which died from covid. This was before the vaccines arrived.
