to all those who helped me in my search for tickets home.
I now have a taxi booked from Juan Dolio to Punta Cana (RD$1200 pesos) for 6AM Saturday morning and a SunQuest flight to Toronto ($700.CAN for 2) at 11:20AM.
Son and grandsons are driving to Toronto to pick us up at 5 PM and I'll be back at home in my bed by 9:30 PM after having stopped for dinner on the way.
I never realized how many ways there were to get from JD to North Bay,Ont. or how long it could take to get there.
Many thanks to those that posted websites and phone numbers and made calls or emailed on our behalf.
I'm sure going to miss the DR but I'll make sure to check in daily to DR1. If possible I'll set up a "chat" room that is voice enabled when I get settled back at home. Not sure if it will be a 24hr thing but I'll definitely try to set one up that will be available at convenient hours for everyone (I don't watch hockey or baseball games so that will make it easier for the night shift).
