To all of you wondering if Aeromar Airlines is a real airline.... It is.... Thats it, they cannot purchase their own planes because our CIVIL AERONAUTICS dept. is not capable of regulating a national Airline due to the fact that the Dominican Republic is in Category 3, which allows them only to operate into the USA using a certified American or foreign carrier (not on cat 3). NOT BECAUSE THE MONEY IS NOT THERE.

Aeromar has tried everything to help the Domincian Republic get out of Cat 3, because this is one of the main reasons why no Dominican Airline has been able to compete with "the big dogs." However, Aeromar has indeed fought them off one by one, and as a result, all flights have a load factor of at least 85%.

Let me inform you all that Aeromar is being run by capable people with Tons of years of experience, and is in no position to get out of the market. They have been solidly progressing since about a year back, and they have been managing quite well. For the first time in about a decade, A dominican carrier will enjoy representing its country with routes to several airports in the Dominican Republic, Miami, San Juan and JFK, with the bright Red, Blue and White Palm tree Logo that truly represents what dominican culture is all about. WITH THEIR NEW 767er300 and 757 200. (yes, just like the 747 you guys all saw). (dont worry, EUROPE is on the way)...

For those of you who have flown with Aeromar, i salute you for trying us out... Im sure many of you have had bad experiences, but please understand that it is all about walking before running... Slowly we are progressing, and offering new things like first class, and different "elite services" which might not be new in the market, but it is for the DOMINICAN Market when it comes to a DOMINICAN carrier... I only have one thing to say.... Fly Aeromar once all this is implemented... (after may 24). Just to be sure, fly us in june, or july, and see what we are really about... With these thoughts i leave you....

Sam, I wish we live to see ATL-STI in our lifetime. I hope Delta would start a codeshare on the route with aeromar or some other leading airlines in the region. Of course, the best course to take would be a direct Delta flight from ATL to STI, POP, SDQ. Oh, that would be a dream come true.

Ray, are you with the airlines?

I am a frequent traveler from JFK to POP. I went to your web site but am not fluent in Spanish. Are you going to make an English mirror?

I fly to the DR 8-12 times a year so I guess I am a frequent flyer.

I am not interested in any other arrival other than POP but would like to try Aeromar Airlines if I can figure out how to book and it is cheaper:) anything going on with FF'miles? You did come up on Travelocity last time I looked btw.

Thanks
Escott

If Aeromar is going to start this route again, they have to make sure that they have all the operational permits for International flights before booking passengers. Last time, they stranded about 400 passengers and spoiled two days of their vacations.

Btw, is there a deal between Aeromar, Falcon Express, Aero Continente and Air D'Ayiti? I've been reading some news on the web lately and there are a lot of similiraties between these four airlines.

No, there is no agreements with any other airline... Aeromar is completely independent. Starting May 24, Aeromar will be receiving 2 new aircrafts (757 and 767), there is no connection with these other airlines...

The operational permits are there, it is only a matter of time before service begins...

For ray.

First of all I am very excited that we have new additions of several airlines what will be serving this island to and from USA. I am specially excited about aeromar because it will be starting service between STI to SJU. Can you please give exact dates as to when the service will start from STI to SJU and to what additional cities from DR to USA you will start in the near future? Can you also state time of departure and arrivals of the route? Can you tell us if we should expect some special fares on this mentioned route? Please give as much info as you can. Thank you in advance.

All what we read from you is exciting.
But is your company changing management.
I tried 3 times your company and all 3 times it was late on departure from SDQ for minimum 8 hours. On return every time my bagage was comming 2 to 4 days later.
When I communicated with your marketing sales manager she was very understanding and sugesting changes that will happend. She also advised me that she will call me week later on one of the subjects we discused. After normaly not receiving the call I tried around 20 times to contact her and send her numers emails. As usual for DR business she had no Courtesy to contact me.
Dear Ray Aeromar just like any company is reflection of the management. Airport procedures are unknown for Aeromar. Englesh speaking stuff on airport is non existing bonus.
So before expension and fighting of competition it's good to think about mangement.
Would you agree?
Would your marketing manager agree?

There has been alot of talk lately...

There has been alot of talk lately...
...about Aeromar. I looked into this airline pretty hard for my last trip to DR. The thing that irked me were the times. You landed in DR around 5PM. And with travel to your destination the whole day was shot plus you had to spend $$ on a hotel that night. American flies early morning and you have the whole day to enjoy yourself. Same with the outbound. 8AM means you have to leave your hotel around 5 if you are staying in the Capital. Another lost hotel night. Good prices yes but two wasted nights with no days. Ill fly American rack up my miles and enjoy DR the day I get there not the day after.

Ray,

Where are your 757 and 767 coming from and who will operate them to the US for you? I think it's great to see you expand -- I see your Aeromar/Falcon 727-200 all the time. Will these still be around or are you going to phase them out?

Saludos,
Brian

encinas: call 1877-AEROMAR, or if push comes to shove, call 809-532-2266... to make your reservations...

Our 757 and 767 are both coming from the same company, however, i am not allowed to say YET. There will be a press conference soon, you shall hear about it... but i can only inform everyone of some things... not all.. But dont worry, you will know everything in a few weeks... AEROMAR/FALCON will not exist any longer... Falcon will take back their 727, and all aircrafts will be painted with the AEROMAR LIVERY.. (the palm tree, and the big AEROMAR-lineas aereas dominicana LOGO... there will be 2 727's, 1 767-300er, 1 757-200er, the other 727 will begin giving service to Sanjuan from SDQ-PUNTACANA- and SANTIAGO...

Trust me, its gonna be a whole new ballgame...

Hola SAM!!
