Not true about 5.56 rounds. They're extremely fast and accurate, which is unlikely given a out-of-control round. Basic physics. They "tumble" and basically fragment on impact which is what causes such significant, gaping wounds for a relatively small round. It's why they're used by the military - they're excellent at killing humans quickly.
To your sort-of point. Covid is just a bug, like many others. It replicates by using host cells. Most viruses that were around 10,000 years ago are still around, your body is full of them. We've just adapted so they're no big deal anymore. Same with covid. The effort with the vaccines is an attempt to speed up the adaptation process, without wiping out huge swaths of the population, which may include someone you care about.

China is not the "bad guy" here. The Black Death came out of eastern europe. Ebola, central africa. Hantavirus, southwestern US. There will ALWAYS be a bug. The question is how will it be dealt with. Proactively, like most modern diseases, or in the hamfisted manner we saw over the past year.
To blame China while sitting in a crowd in the DR and refusing to wear a mask because it infringes on your "freedoms" is beyond hypocritical. It's stupid, and shows no consideration for the health of others. Glad you're feeling fine, but you're putting someone's abuela at risk because you're filling a bit more self indulgent than usual this season.
