Please understand, I am the grandma, not the mother. As I am preparing for the baby's visit, I am trying to duplicate what the parents already do. The flouridated water is a recommendation of the pediatrician. While my beliefs may be different, I must also do my best not to interfere.

Funny, while the pediatrician recommended the flouridated water, he said NOT to use sunscreen on the baby.

There is a natural compound that can be used sparingly

as a sunscreen for young ones. I just can't for the life of me remember what it is!!!
I'll root around a bit and see if I can find it. My grandsons are old enough for regular sunscreen now and this one has slipped my mind (senior moments- sigh)

Ta DA!! I found it........

It's California Baby sunscreen......paba and chemical free!
It uses titanium dioxide which reflects the suns' rays.
Available online.........
California Baby Kids Sunscreen - SPF30 - 2.9oz Tube - Sun Protection

There's another one also that I used to buy at a local drugstore years ago but they don't carry it anymore so I'll search a bit more to see if I can find it., however I'm sure there are others out there that are PABA and chemical free.
